I think with the Scarran threat to Aeryn as proven before this is very possible they want to hide the baby from the Scarrans. One pic he looks sick so maybe he is having morning sickness.

Sparky definitely looks like he's put on some serious weight. Unless the mini opens with Moya dropping by an all-you-can-eat buffet on Lomo, I think Rygel might very well be "hiding" the baby.
