The following is a few excerpts from a short article that appeared in the new EW magazine I got today. Some very interesting stuff here.

What happens: "Everything we did was to find ways to make the story more epic, more compelling, more romantic," says Henson. "Crichton and Aeryn are reconstituted from their crystalized state very early. They are now engaged, but then they find out that the galaxy has fallen into a huge intergallactic war between the Peacekeepers and the Scarrans.

Where else can Farscape go: "This will bring the series to the end of a chapter," hints Henson "But I don't think any of us are ready to drop Farscape."

Next: The mini airs in October.

Ok now last I heard it was going to air in December. Is this big news or have I just been out of the loop on this?

Pity however that my fears of a 4 hour John/Aeryn lovefest with only the backdrop of a PK/Scarran war have now pretty much been confirmed.

Any time during the last quarter was the main time frame. Then October became the semi-firm date. Then a rumor hit that it might be December, but it was only an unconfirmed rumor. This article in EW and the one in TV Guide confirmed it up as definitely October.

Realizing of course that this is all fantasy, i would find it hard to swallow that much of anything at all would advance while in a crystalized state.

Does this mean that although they are reconstituted early in the beginning of the mini, time has moved on and therefore Aeryn's pregnancy has advanced!!! Somehow, Freckles, I don't think that Folger's crystals are capable of gestating - but I'll get back to you on that...

That said, this sounds ever more promising, as it goes along. I'm trying to remain as spoiler-free as possible, but the idea that Aeryn and John have gone into 'cold storage' for a couple of months is rather intriguing: It only cranks up the drama potential that the PKs and the Scarrens have had several months to tweak each others' wits, without the prophylactic of J/A involvement. Which might mean that all involved parties have had the opportunity to return to their redoubts and frell things up a whole lot more.

But that just raises the bar on the amount expository dialogue that they're going to use to cover the period that J/A were out of commission. But I have no doubts. It'll be marvellous.

I wonder where Grayza's going to be in all of this? Sorta like the 'missing' Tyrell replicant in 'Blade Runner', eh?

S P O I L E R for season 4






At the end of season there was the proposed treaty between the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers and the Scarrans doublecrossed Graza and Braca in episode 16. I would imagine they are fighting over who would get what territories and the wormhole technology. The Luxans probably aren't on anyone's side because they probably hate both sides and are just trying to not get killed and have their world taken over by either side.

That's probably a good way to sort of wipe the slate clean and will be what makes the mini accessible to first time viewers.
