Not that I don't like it other times of the year, but there are a few advantages this time of year. We're getting ready to go on vacation for about a week down to Disney World. Really looking forward to it. This will be the first time we've been there since our honeymoon, eight years ago.
This brings me to my point. I'm laying out my clothes on the bed, bunch of tank tops (with that wonderful invention the built in bra), shorts, undies (covered in one of the other threads), sandals, all takes up virtually no room. I mean I could probably pack a weeks worth of stuff in my backpack. Except for the fact we are fine dining one night and I need a dress for that, but that's easy to take care of since I will be taking a larger carryon bag with me.
But it's a great feeling. Because I have somewhat unruly hair (got the waves from my dad and fineness from my mom, couldn't have gotten her straightness and his thickness could I?) I think my hair care products will take up more room.
Now if this were winter... That's the worst part about winter travel, all those layers really take up some serious space when traveling.
What this really means is more room for souveneirs. ;)
Anyway, I leave Friday and will miss everyone until I get back on the 1st.

I hear ya. If I had all the money that I spent over the years on products to keep my hair straight, I think I could buy a new car. :D When it comes to going to Florida and some of the other southern state, I've learned to just not fight it and let it go curly.
Have fun at Disney World. I went there two years ago and had a great time.

When I was in Mexico at the end of May, the resort we stayed at had a policy - guys have to wear slacks, collard shirts, and closed-toe shoes. Girls could wear anything they wanted, as long as it wasn't shorts :D All of the guys on that trip were seething with jealousy, cause it was hot and they didn't want to wear pants!

I think that in general, women have far more freedom and large numbers of options for clothing than men do. Our range of styles runs the gamut from functional to ornate, masculine to feminine, and nearly all of it is perfectly acceptable to society. We are fortunate that way. We can express ourselves through our clothing choices and wear what feels comfortable to us, mentally and physically. The options for men are far more limited. It is probably a good thing most men could care less about fashion. They don't have a lot of choices.
And I agree that bra tops are an excellent invention! Love 'em!

You didn't mention a bathing suit ... does that mean you're skinny dipping? That might create a bit of a scene at a "family hotel"
Of course, this article could just have easily have been called, "Why I love being around women in summer..." :D

I don't know if it is any different with guys. I spent 5 days in Houston and my only luggage was a satchel. About 14 inches long and maybe 9 inches tall. Fit a pair of jeans and t-shirts/dress shirts and the socks and boxers. Carried it on... I put my book in it and didn't have to check anything.
My brother brought a bigger bag and he had to check it. I think my plan worked better.

well, if one sleeps in boxers then one (theoretically) would not be wearing them the next day ... or maybe I'm wrong on this point.:dunno:
maybe grinner sleeps in the buff:lech:

You wear them in the day, sleep in them at night, and put on new ones in the morning. Why would you have seperate ones for sleeping?
Actually, I know the answer to that.

Oh my, what have I started? ;)
yeah, got the bathing suit too, if you want to skinny dip at Disney it needs to be really late at night
So grinner, what is it? :lech:

No flipping. Sheesh. But you always need extra pair because you never know where your dreams will take you.

I have a male friend who claims you can wear undies 4 times, I honestly believe he would do it. Right side, inside out, front and back on each.

Although, g_s needs to change his boxers after one of those dreams, too.

My point exactly ... you can't travel with just one pair of boxer shorts. LB that thing is quite scary :horror:

But what's confusing is no one ever said one pair of boxers.
grinner said "socks and boxers." That could mean 1 pair or a hundred pair.

It's the thing from g_s' nightmares :D Created by abbadon, and nurtured by me. I send it over to g_s' house whenever I think he needs a little burst of energy. :)

Exactly! The only good thing about being stuck up in a college campus for summer school!
Hell, and now that 18-25 yearolds are off for summer, I now have some scenery to look at while I'm spending two hours a day in the gym bodybuilding. I was getting tired of nothing but rich guys trophy wives.
