In the episode where Scorpius shows the nuerochip Crichton his past to convince him to help the peacekeepers, he mentions that he was saved from being captive on a Scarren Dred by letting out a distress signal and a Peacekeeper Command Carrier came and destroyed the ship.
However in IP 2, we learn that Scarren Dreds are twice the size of Command Carriers.
Now there are explainations for this I suppose.
1) Scorpius was lieing
2) 20-30 cycles ago whenever it did occur (considering how long some species live, it could of been hundreds of years ago.), the Scarrens had smaller dreds, or Peacekeepers had largers ones - vice a versa.
3) Scarren Drednoughts have fewer weapons for every cubic meter of there space. Possibly to save space for Scarren Troops. We know that the Scarrens have 10-1 in terms of armys but what about Fleet status? This could be a way to move large number of troops (60k+ per ship) without having to support a enormous fleet.
