I hope I'm posting this in the right place, being kinda new around here...

This was posted on the Toronto Trek board:


Tonight: At 7:55, Space will air their Farscape coverage with Raelee and Lani.


(Raelee & Lani were at Toronto Trek this past weekend, and Space always does interviews with the guests...)


Of course, the interview will likely be in Space's circulation, but you never know what you'll see when... and you're certainly not likely to get advance warning like this very often!

It's ironic... a few years ago (before Space started airing Farscape, because that was my primary motivation), I E-mailed my satellite company, asking if they could possibly get the Sci-Fi Channel. Now, I couldn't really care less if they did, and people in the States are begging for Space...

(I do know now that they couldn't get SFC if they wanted to, because of Canadian regulations - SFC is a foreign cable channel, which is essentially direct competition for Space, a Canadian station. If it was over-the-air, or not direct competition, it would be possible. We have Spike, which was added when it was TNN, which had no Canadian competition, but is coming under scrutiny now that they've changed their programming focus. We couldn't get MTV directly, because we have the Canadian MuchMusic, but they created MTV Canada, which carries a lot of MTV's programming, but it's technically a Canadian station... not that I ever watch it.)

Oh, uh... I was going to add that there's a clip from an interview with Virginia on the Space site (http://www.spacecast.com) on the Farscape page, from Toronto Trek 2 years ago, so maybe they'll put Lani & Raelee's up, too.

Just saw it and I gathered up a few screen grabs for everyone to see. Not much in the way of spoilers and the announcer had no idea when it will air here in Canada (the miniseries) but promised to keep us posted. Both Lani and Raelee said that they were amazed that a cancelled program was brought back due to popular demand and thanked the fans.

I decided to take it upon myself to write out the Farscape coverage with Raelee and Lani that was shown on Space last night... I also did it for ScorpSik who has been begging for the transcript. ;)

I have to say it was difficult to get all of this down and Raelee was talking a mile a minute. :eek:

The only thing that stands out for possible spoilers was when Raelee was describing her character.

Hypa Space Transcript:

Raelee: The fanbase is huge. I have never been a part of scifi before and it’s like another world. Pardon the pun, but it’s another world out there. The fans and the popularity of the show and the support and the encouragement. and the love we got from the fans, I have never seen nothing like it before. And I also did not expect a show to come back from popular opinion. It just had never happened before; not in my experience.

Lani: Ah, look, it I think it has been brilliant for the show to come back, um, even for the miniseries. I think the fans were largely responsible for that as well.

Raelee: When the series ended the fans were furious. Likewise, I would have been furious too. It was left… it was like a big carrot dangling down in front of your face. “You just love the show for four years? Guess what?!” Zip… just rip away. Um, but this, there’s quite a bit of resolution in it.

Lani; In terms of Crais, Crais didn’t come back. Crais, um, was obliviously shopping, um, for a new outfit. And didn’t make it back in time for the show. Um, but I came back as Pilot.

Raelee: As soon as you watch the show. You’ll know by allegiances with the certain characters in the show has sort of shifted a bit. As a result of that so has my look. She’s a whole new character. She’s quite branded.

Lani: I can’t really tell you much because we just give the working title of the show – at least I was. Um, that when it had finished, so I was given day one and day two to work off. That’s all I can say about the show. But, um, what did Raelee say? Did she say anything?

Raelee: Is it the end? N-n-n- I don’t know. I don’t think so.

Day one and two could have just been shots of Pilot....They don't get many shots in a day of him, because he's so complicated...so many puppeteers... Consider too, what the VAST majority of spoiler pics we've seen to date consist of....

A very warm, distinctly comforting feeling... a feeling of relaxation sweeps through me. "Everything will be ahl right." I can't hear those words enough....especially when Ben says them. He's so close to Brian and DK...frell HE *is* Farscape... when Mr. "I don't consider it a go until the check clears the bank." is confident of a continuance, THEN I turn to a most contented goo. Of course, when a 'secondary' character, such as Raelee's can safetly say, "I don't think so." Then we have cause to celebrate.

Brian wants very much to continue. As long as our money man is gung ho, we are good to go. It all hinges upon the ratings of the PK War Mini. We all have to redouble our efforts at dragging in eyeballs this fall....

Since the "Day 1" and "Day 2" were in the context of the title (or lack thereof), I took it to mean that they didn't have a title for the mini when they shot it, and the first half was called "Day 1" as a working title (as in the part that will air on the first day of airing), and the second half was called "Day 2".

I could be way off, though.

More logically, he was given the raw footage that was filmed during the first and second day of filming...and he did Pilots lines at that point... Whatever...we won't know until the fat Hynerian farts come October.

I got the Real Media version this morning -- thanks for making it available, Nicola! I've met Lani but had never seen Raelee in her natural non-Sikozu state before. She is indeed as cute as a bug, especially with that short, curly hair. Adorable!

Um considering how supportive SPACE has been toward us (and I mean Scapers in general) would anyone be interested in raising money for a gift basket to SPACE? We've done it for a lot of other groups. And SPACE has been unwaivering in their support for Scape. Even when it didn't really financially make sense for SPACE to air FS daily, they did it anyway. It may even nudge them into signing a contract for more reruns.

Also this isn't the first time they've put us on TV. Also they saw to it (due to the type of show we were on) that we got on a Station where you didn't even need cable to see it. They also put it on the internet for about 8 months. There's also stuff I haven't mentioned.
