The Charids!

They look exactly like The Predator from the Predator movies. Same helmet and mask (Exactly), same dreadlocks, same "uniform". The weapons even have a similar look. The only different is that under they helmet, they are dogs instead of frog like.

Do charrids have the jaws that work sideways instead of up and down like the Predator? I am currently dead from the neck up, so I don't remember.

You know, the Gem Hadar of ST:DS9 were reminsicent of the Predator too.

The Charrids are mamals that look like Blood Trackers or dogs, the Predator was like a frog or fish. There is a fish in the Gulf of Mexicon nicknamed the predator fish because it looks freakishly like the alien.

But, if you look at a masked Predator and Charrid side by side, you can't tell a difference. Even the knife Rygel stole looked like a Predator blade.

Of course this was probably just one of the huge pop culture refernces that Farscape liked to use (like Dramatically remaking a Red Dwarf Episode).

The only thing that linked the Jem'Hadar to the Predator was their stealth camo.

I think you mean the Breen. The Jem'Hadar are more like Scarrens.

Which ep of Red Dwarf did they dramatically remake? (Sorry...not a Dwarfer so wouldn't recognize it.)

The first time I saw the Charrids, I indeed immediatly thought about Predator mostly because of the rasta hairs ;)

I think Breen uniforms look like the one Princess Leia has in Return of the Jedi, when she's disguised as a bounty hunter in Jabba's place. The helmet is very similar...

"Twice Shy" is a remake of the Red Dwarf episode "Polymorph"

It looks identical the Leia Bounty Hunter mask and the other picture.

Trek did have a few aliens that looked a lot like Predators. One that comes to mind in particular are the fairly ugly dudes that showed up in Voyager's "Nemesis".

The aliens in the Star Trek:Voyager episode, 'Nemesis' looked exactly like a Predator as well.

I would have been cool if one of the Charrids had weazed, and the sound matched that of the Predator sound. The sound that immediatly raises someone's heart rate when they hear it.

I would love to make that sound into a duck call or something and take that out hunting at 2 in the morning with your buddies.

You mean that fluttering growl? I must say it is intimidating.

Yeah.

My roomate's dad has a call that replicates the attack cry of a man-eating wild board. His favorite trick is to go hunting, and wait for someone to take a leak in the outhouse. He then sneaks up on you and plays the sound while kicking the side of the outhouse.

Angelina Jolie

I was going to switch it for another (I have alot), but someone seems to ask about it in every topic. So, I think I'll keep her.

I think the people who own the "Predator" franchise felt it wasn't worth hunting down the producers so Farscape, for what really was just a background character.

That Leia/Breen thing is going to stay with me for a while...it's funny how after a while all the costume designs in the world (or "worlds") start to mirror one another.

"Twice Shy" is a remake of the Red Dwarf episode "Polymorph"

Also "John Quixote" ran along very similar lines to "Better Than Life"

I've seen both episodes a thousand times, and somehow I never made that connection. Weird.
It's blindingly obvious - I'm so slow!

Actually... there is no man-eating wild boar. We have massive feral pigs (your "wild-boar") where I live and, they eat only vegitation. Im sure if they had to, they would eat meat, but they dont go after it.

Biggest one I've shot was about 160lbs. Not that big compared to some of the Sows we got up on the mountain but big enuff for me. lol

Just thought I'd point that out. tee hee

We have Russian Boars down here, and they are meat eaters.

There were many deleted scenes from Into The Lion's Den.
The scene between Aeryn and Crais, when Crais apologizes for everything
he has done to her. I thought this was a particularly poignant scene.
It shows how far both of them have come and it is an important scene
in Crais's redemption.

I thought most of these deleted scenes were deleted for time. ( time, it's always about time!) I don't know why these scenes aren't added in in the DVD sets.

I was fully expecting them to actually be Predators even when they were unmasked, but I didn't think they should die that easily. :p Second biggest disappointment in Farscape history.

I kind of hope that they were intended to look like the Preds, but not to steal and misuse that look. Like it was a huge tribute to the Predator movies that their original makers took as a compliment instead of a copyright infringement. That would be cool. But if that was the case then John should have made some wise crack about them.

Trek did have a few aliens that looked a lot like Predators. One that comes to mind in particular are the fairly ugly dudes that showed up in Voyager's "Nemesis".

http://www.startrekforum.de/lebensform/kradin.jpeg:D What if Michael Jackson and a predator mated?
