Gosh,I know its different this time around as SciFi dont have any other rights than to show the mini first so they want to get lots of eyeballs so they can make wak loads of dosh.

But I think that to show a teaser for F: PW during the stargate premier season 8 if absolutely fan-dabby-dosey (great)

Lets hope lots of teasers follow on a regular basis to create interest for future scapers.

Thank you SciFi, maybe one day you will realise that the choice to stop our show was a completely stupid one, and may you soon come to your senses and help finance more seasons, but hey at the minute Thank you for the start of hopefully a great publicity campaign.

Lee

Also Lee is very sad as he lives in the UK, and will not be there to see the teaser :(
But as said in other threads I am sure it will become available online soon after, hey I think henson could put it on there website?

When are they going to update the official farscape website? Well I suppose they dont need to (answering own question) because we have such a great website and lots of scaper friends here.

maybe on a slighty more negative note.... We should tape it and watch it later!
Why should we bump up the viewing figures for Stargate?

I am sorry for you guys in the UK. I wonder if someone can make it available for you guys to see.

Lee, unless someone has a Nielsen box or diary, whether they watch SG or not won't have any effect on the official viewing figures.

thank you rydra, it does not even effect me as i am in the uk, but i still find reluctancy in trusting the sci fi channel, even though our beloved BBC showed the series here (at times even before sci fi)

Just thought it was going to get at least the publicity it deserves during a premier.

Actually, I think it's just a ploy to try to get more of us to watch stargate.

Think of it in another way perhaps we can get the Stargate fans over to our side they will be watching the premiere and will see the mini trailer. We do want to scape people. If the mini does really well we get more Farscape. This could be a good thing.

Well at least thier airing it during one of thier more popular shows, instead of in the middle of the night the way they seem to like doing the episodes. Hopefully this will draw in some new fans.

I haven't watched SciLie since the last few seconds of the second showing of Bad Timing, and I still won't until the mini. Hopefully the trailer will be on the net.

whatever works to promote Farscape. even if it's a crumb off Stargate's table. with Stargate's viewing audience though, that's quite a lot of crumbs.

Count me among those who think airing the teaser trailer (which, ahem, I was calling for just yesterday, toot toot) is a good thing. The more eyeballs who see it the better. And SG1 is their #1 rated show.

Oh, I think it it's a good thing for Farscape. Just saying I don't think Skiffy's reason for airing the trailer there is because they actually give a dren about whether or not the mini gets a bigger audience.

Well, I'm pretty sure it was purely a business decision. Let more people know about the coming mini. Get more people excited so they'll want to tune in. Show that excitement to the advertisers and that'll probably translate into more dollars in Skiffy's pockets. That's what I figure anyway. Bigger audience = better ratings = more publicity = more money for Sci Fi Channel.

Although Farscape was poorly promoted before, I'm hoping they've learned their lesson and will release snippets now and then to generate the desired excitement and anticipation we'll need. It can only serve to benefit all parties.

Stargate SG:1 is Skiffy's biggest show. Skiffy didn't have to put the promo on during the season premiere of SG:1.

;)

while i don't trust Skiffy, if they didn't want the mini to do well, they wouldn't have put the promo on the season premiere of their #1 rated show.
