Hi to all the Americans who have the Scifi channel!

Its not fair. I don't have the scifi channel or live in America so I can't see the teaser for Farscape PK: War or see it air on the 17th October. Its not fair. I just hope the BBC decide to show it or a DVD is made otherwise i'm stuck. I don't want to spoil though. All the Americans will be chatting about it online and I won't be able to keep away. I'm always drawn into Spoilers. Its so not fair! I wish we could all watch it at the same time so no-one has to worry about spoilers.

Okay i'll stop rating now.

Can you start a campaign with all the British viewers to write your local network who used to show Farscape and get them to show the mini. I thought it was under consideration with a network in the UK to air the mini.

The BBC is the national network/channel who usually show the first run of Farscape and sci fi channel UK have the reruns at the moment on satellite/digital/cable. The BBC are at the moment waiting for a review tape of the mini to see if they want to purchase it. It's a case of wait and see and emailing/snail mailing polite words of beggingness.. :D

Rant away, :D I agree with you all the way it is so unfair, but for all there falts the BBC knows a good thing when they see it, so they will probably show it. :)
The problem is that they allways show these things months after there out in the US. *sulks* :(

It really isn't fair, is it? I'm not even trying to pretend I won't read the coments on pk wars after it airs, more so, after the 17th I'll be right in Kazaa searching for the mini(maybe not right after, I don't think anyone works that fast)
Speaking of which, guys you SO have to put the teaser in Kazaa lite!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

Are there really no other channels besides the BBC in UK?

There are, but I can't receive them. So stop giving those ideas to the British...

The five free-to-air channels are:
BBC1
BBC2
ITV
Channel 4
Channel 5

ITV does a lot of regional broadcasting, so the channel content changes depending on where you are. Channels 4 & 5 primarily cover large population centres, and if you get away from these you often lose reception. And I don't mean WAY WAY out, I'm talking 20 miles outside London and you can't get C5.

There's the whole range of cable-based TV, only available is certain large population centres like London, and Sky (www.sky.com), which is the UK satellite broadcaster.

Regardless, coverage for subscription-based services is not total (coverage for free-to-air isn't total either!).

Regardless, the choices for broadcast would have to be, in order:
BBC (1 or 2, don't care), Sky One (only because they also show SG1 and would promote the hezmana out of it), ITV/C4, and then perhaps SciFi - altho SciFi in the UK have been broadcasting Farscape at a fairly reasonable time - 4pm in the afternoons (and in order! They just completed S4, with S2 being shown at around midnight to 1am most nights)

The BBC appear to be leaning heavily away from genre TV nowadays. They seem to have gotten rid of Farscape (but then Sci-Fi UK have the rerun rights, I think), Star Trek, Buffy, Sliders, Quantum Leap (great shame) and good old Battlestar Galactica.

In fact, last I saw their 6 o'clock slot, normally reserved for this sort of show, was full of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. But then C4 have the rights to The Simpsons now, whenever they start showing it.

I don't even know what channels here do what genre TV. We all know Sci-Fi UK has loads of it, but apart from that there's very little. BBC are seemingly steering away from genre and towards home improvement, ITV never did genre TV in the first place, C4 I don't know (I think they've got Smallville, or as they like to call it, Superman: The Early Years, and they also have - or had - SG1), and C5 has CSI, Xena and Hercules, and Angel, as well as possibly a few others.

But Sky One could be a possibility, especially the amount of people who have it (you can get it through Cable). They're just about to start the new Battlestar Galactica and are advertising it well.

If they had the rights to all the Farscape eps it could be a different story...

Sorry if someone's said this but you could get a tape fairy to get if for you.

Apologies to all concerned but, since it's mostly the same as taping, I'm getting a BitTorrent fairy (more specifically, my girlfriend).

Do not worry - when it is released here in the UK, I shall be watching on the TV and also buying the DVDs.
