Teaser Spoilers and Speculation -- Serious Stuff! Don't Look!

Okay, everyone else is using the other threads to say how much the trailer rocked (which it did) and how much they can't wait until October (which I can't either), but I want to get some serious fanatical discussion going on the frelling CONTENT of the trailer! Who's with me! Spoiler Virgins avert your eyes, this is serious business!!!










First, that close up of Scorpy . . . is it just me or does that look much more like Ben in his Harvey makeup than Wayne?

Also, in BOTH trailers they show what looks like Moya getting blown up by an energy beam in mid-starburst. :fear: :eek: :bawl:

Are y'all seeing this too? I've watched both trailers in slo-mo several times and those things jump out at me each time.

And as mentioned in the other thread, the shot of Crichton and Aeryn drawing their pistols looks like right after they've been put back together. They start in the same position they were in when they got "neutralized."

Also, did anyone notice that in the scene with J/A in each others laps, with the diagnosan.... Does anyone else look closely and it *appears* that Aeryn is pregnant in that scene. You have to look really REALLY closely because he abdomen is dark against John, but I could have sworn I saw a pregnant belly there.

Yeah, but even with Gigi, you can see her in there somewhere. Mostly around the nose and mouth. I looked back at some photos of Ahkna and that looks like a totally different person. The mouth is different. Of course, could be wrong.

I don't think so. If you look close the Diagnosin is over to the left and the person who looks like Grunshlik is to the right of him. D'Argo is over to their right as well. I think that is when they get brought back from crystal state. Notice, Aeryn is sitting on John's lap, just like they were when they got zapped. I think they put them back together, and then have to deal with the fact that they didn't get the baby back as well. Have to go through something to get the little tyke inside Aeryn.

Okay I have to admit it because I have only seen Bad Timing twice :rolleyes: but I don't remember Aeryn sitting in John's lap in the boat (which seems a highly unlikely position for people to be in in a boat if you ask me). In fact, I thought John was kind of kneeling when he gave her the ring and then they were just holding on to each other when they went all crystally.

It's hard to tell from the angles that they show, but from the still it does kinda sorta look like Aeryn could be showing in that pic, but then that would mean it couldn't be immediately after they "decrystalize" or whatever they do to put Humpty and the missus back together. I may need to go watch the trailer a few dozen more times . . .

I love spoilers. I do. I could read the whole script for the mini and it wouldn't take one jot, not one iota of pleasure away from watching it for the first time. There's such a huge difference between hearing what's going to happen and seeing how it all comes together. Of course I respect other people not wanting to hear about spoilers, but I just don't get it. Bring 'em on, say I.

I'm downloading the teaser now and watching it frame by frame. Is that Grunschlick, or just somebody of the same species? I was hoping never to run into him again, to tell the truth. And if that is the scene where J/A get reconstituted, how do you explain the gun in his hand? Weren't their weapons left behind in the ashes in the boat?

Everyone's makeup looks different (honestly I think they made Anth's head look smaller :lol ) but Ahkna (presumably that's Ahkna) looks extraordinarily different. Chi has cool kinda cat-like eyes. Apparently she's developed the ability to see while her eyes are still "whited out".

You're right. They are certainly drawing their weapons. I wish I had some screen caps of Bad Timing because I just don't remember the last scene well enough (I'll correct that after I pick up 4.5 at Best Buy).

Perhaps the QuJagan crystalization can be reversed but it takes a Diagnosan to bring the recrystalized people "back to life" and before they were re-animated someone put their weapons back in their hands or holsters -- whoa, that's why I don't write fan fics.

And that certainly looks like the original Grunschlik but we haven't seen any good close-ups so it hard to tell.

That Moya shot, where it looks like she might be getting blown up, that's definitely a CGI clip that was used in "Into The Lions Den - Part 1". Remember, when she tries to starburst, but the PKs catch her before she fully immerses? I'm sure it's the same CGI clip. (They do it a lot in Farscape, use CGI from other episodes). I say this with such certainty, because I'm in love with the ITLD duo, and have watched them several times since they aired a couple weeks ago. And when the teaser aired, I recognized it instantly. Farscapetv.com doesn't have the pic to back me up here, but I'm like positive on this.

Scorpy looking like Scorpy/John, that's Scorpius all right, but he doesn't look the same as he did during Season 4. Look at the promo pics. I always thought he looked somewhat odd. Different, just a little bit off. I worry that after the year, there's different make-up artists, who couldn't quite match the look. Even if they do have the entire make-up staff back, I don't think Scorpius looks exactly like he did. He's like...paler, and less pointy. He looks kind of uncomfortable in it.

That's my take on both those questionable issues, but I've been way wrong before. :dunno:

That's entirely possible. I was thinking it didn't look like an energy "weapon" blast -- which you would expect to be more focused. So a immobilizer pulse or energy net type thing (I totally don't remember what they used in ITLD) would make sense. Again, it could be an unrealized reality clip or a memory (or simply recycling -- they did spend a lot of money I couldn't really blame them if they pulled a "Chekov in front of the viewscreen" shot out of the vault).

hell yes. And the way they fiddled with her eyebrows. She looked (and acted) like a drowned puppy for a lot of season four, very dampened down and forlorn. I was thinking about this too because in the teaser, when John says 'will you marry me' she's still got that look on. I'm hoping she'll be back to normal in the mini and that they'll explain what the heck was going on with her in S4.

If we can get this much discussion from 15 seconds or so of ad, imagaine the whole four hour mini. I hope scifi is aware of the stir they created with that little bit of air time. It can only help our cause.

I've watched the trailer in slow mo a few :rolleyes: times now and I believe the scene that you're interpreting as Chiana holding up D'Argo's quaalta blade is the same one that I interpret as Chi passing cabling up to someone. She's definitely holding something irregularly shaped and flexible (not like a quaalta blade). I think she's on Moya and they are patching something.

I think it is the Qualta blade. I don't have the equipment get a screen capture, but I have it paused at the exact moment she lifts the object up, and it really looks like D'argo's Qualta blade. I think she's bringing it up to stab something that's laying below her. Hope it's not a dying D'argo.

Y'all may be right. I've watched it frame by frame many times now and it's just too hard to tell exactly what I'm seeing, but it could be the quaalta blade (which seems to have been "reforged" since S4 and is a brighter color).

'Kay...not gonna read everything..just want to point a couple of things out....

1. Moya & Pilot were alive in Rock's story "Horizon's" (at least I believe both were).
2. Brian said anything that did get out (re: plot) was most likely a deliberate attempt to mess with us. Killing Moya & Pilot sure looks like something that they would throw at us to get us off the scent of the plot. Remember....we don't call the people evil genious(s) for no reason.

An interesting thing I noticed is that toward the end of the trailer in one scene it looks as if D'argo is fighting hand to hand with Staleek. I wonder what that's going to be about.

What's this?
In the last issue of Farscape magazine was a short story written by Rockne called Horizons. It is in his veiw how Farscape ends. Not the season or series fanally but the complete end of the story. It takes place about 200 years in the future.

I don't think Rockne ever intended Horizons to be canon so I wouldn't look to it too closely when trying to decide what could and couldn't happen in PKW.

I also wouldn't be surprised if all the clips from the teaser take place in the first half hour of the mini. :P

Has SciFi re-aired the teaser since SG-1? SciFi plays such crap (and it's sooo long between commercial breaks) that I haven't wanted to sit down and watch anything long enough to tell.

In the words of Aeryn: "It's the hat." It seems to be furthe back on the head and shorter in hight. (or this may just be me.)

And looking at it i'd put my money on the shots being fired at Moya, being some sort of imobiliser.


Just to speculate when J&A where cristalised we saw some of them droping in to the water, could this have an efect on them when there re-asembled.

What is this about T-John?

Some are bringing up T-John because in some of the promo shots John has a a wound then scar where T-John had one. I don't think he is coming back, I think John is just getting a scar he was always supposed to have.

Anyway, that would cheapen T-John's sacrfice. I think John is becoming the complete John again. He will get all the memories of John Crichton and the physical attributes as well.

It's a Farscape word. I heard Chiana use it last night when I was watching Fetal Attraction. As you've probably already guessed, it means 'crazy' or 'nuts'.

Yes she does. Ben's wife, Francesca Buller played M'Lee (Bone To Be Wild), Ro-Na (Look At The Princess trilogy), Raxil (Scratch N Sniff), and War Minister Ahkna.

Yes I think there two different charcters.

If you look at there foreheads one seems to have ridges and the other not.....
The markings are also different.

Yes, I see them, but I believe it's just an idiosyncracy of the makeup. If you look at Zhaan's makeup from episode to episode you'll see that it's never exactly the same twice. The change in this makeup is not something an average viewer would notice over the course of a 4 hour mini-series (most people won't compare screen caps side by side to see if there are subtle differences ;) ). So until the mini-series airs and we possibly find out otherwise, I'm going to assume both of those pics are Ahkna and that that's Francesca behind the makeup. :D

As fgar as I'm aware, it is Ahkna. Does look a lot different, I agree. I'm just glad they gave her a better hat this time - the Series 4 one was horrible. I quite like the new look.

That pic looks more to me like Aeryn is returning fire from someone off screen and that John had his hands up in a reflexive defensive move, after being startled by the shot that Aeryn is returning. It doesn't look to me like John is holding anything or that there is anything there on the other side of Aeryn's pulse pistol.
