Farscape DVD's Season one problem

ok.... i recently bought the first 3 seasons of farscape and i just started watching all the dvd's i got to disc 10 and episode 1x20 (The Hidden Memory) would not play. has anyone else had this problem?

because i really want to watch the frelling episode and neither of my frelled up dvd players will play it :(

anyways... let me know if any of you have the problem.

and maybe its just the dvd players, so if it does work on your dvd players, what kind of dvd player do you all have?

First you should tell us witch region and release are they, like Region 2 for Europeans or Kult-Tv/Contender Release, or is it BoxSet or individual 2 disk set.

I had the same problem with the same episode in my season 1 box set. Also check Nerve because I had a problem with that too. I had purchased mine from Amazon and they sent me a new set next day air and paid for me to send back the defective set. I have also heard others talking about this same problem, so you are not alone.

If you got it from a retail store, take it back for exchange, retail stores will exchange bad discs. If you didn't, contact ADV and they should replace it. I know others have gotten bad disks from them in the past and had them replaced. They should have customer service contact at their web site: www.advfilms.com

Welcome to the board Azure. I too have had problems with the season 1 box set- though I lent it to my cousins and they were fine. I exchanged one box for another and had the problem again where the player said it couldn't read the DVD- but I tried a few more times with the same DVD and it worked. :shrug:

Yes, I encountered the same problem - on the same disc with the same episode. Just contact ADV and they shouldl replace it promptly. They did with mine. :D

My girlfriend recently (in May) bought me the Season 1 boxset for grad and I had the same problem. She bought it at Best Buy but being aware of the problem I was reluctant to bring it back because I expected to get just another defective boxset. So I contacted ADV Films and this is what they said:

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The quality of our DVDs is of utmost importance to us. We have discovered that this issue with Disc 10 of the Farscape Season One box set was a result of a manufacturing error. We will be replacing the DVD free of charge. Please send me your complete name and mailing address and I would be happy to send you a replacement disc.

I sent them the information and I did eventually receive a replacement. It was sent via regular US mail and took about a month to get here. I e-mailed them at the two week mark and from their response I got the impression they hadn't even sent it out yet. Where I am happy that they fixed my problem, I was a little upset that it took so long to slap a DVD into a white cardboard envelope and throw it in the mail. *sigh*

check for region and cracks in dvd... or maybe its just you're dvd player that's frelled up......

but if you buy season 1 now... will the error still be on the 10 disc or have they supplied new dvd sets to all shops??
