Last Updated: Jul 14 2004 03:48 PM MDT
Calgary - A four-year-old girl was able to get help when her mother fell unconscious at home, EMS says.
The girl called 911, was able to provide information that allowed an ambulance to be sent out, unlocked the front door and kept control of the family dog so paramedics could attend to her mom, who had hypoglycemia.
EMS says the girl also was able to help the paramedics locate her mother's medication.
If left untreated, low blood sugar can be potentially life threatening.
