Ok ok..
Soooooo.. I went out today to buy trading card sheets for s4 trading cards that I'm sending down to Comic Con.
I decided that I was going to go to a comic store to get them instead of like a target or something, that way I'd get a chance to look for more Farscape swag. The place that I had in mind sold action figures for 5 bucks last year. I went there, they had nothing. So I got what I went there for and then went to Rite Aid to get binders.
Right next to Right Aid is a Hobby Store. I decided I should stick my head in there since I was right next to it. So I walked in and asked if they had anything Farscape. The lady didn't think they did, but said she'd ask some other guy. So she went away and came back and said they had comic books. I was floored because no comic book store I had ever been to had the War Torn comics. Not only did they have any at all but they had both one and two!
So I had been looking for swag for Comic Con and all, and it did flash through my mind that maybe the Comics would be good swag at a Comic convention (although now that I think about it, maybe not, since I've heard they're not that great), but I decided they were mine, ALL MINE! Hey, I collected crappy X-Files comics for no reason other than they were X-Files, why not do the same for Farscape?
So I go to buy them, and the guy comes up and starts ringing them up, and he starts talking to me about the mini. Which was really awesome!! I was really caught off guard since I figured they wouldn't know anything about it, since they barely had any Farscape stuff there. I started talking about Comic Con and who would be there and stuff, and that I was sending cards to the Save Farscape booth. It totally didn't even cross my mind to ask him if they'd like some trading cards!
Well, while I was in Rite Aid it did come to mind, and I could have smacked myself, so I hurried up and got out of there and went back so I could at least grab a business card. I was hoping to catch the guy and ask him in person, but he went off to some other part of the huge store.
So I grabbed a card, and I'm planning on calling him back sometime. I'd have to ship him cards since I don't live around San Jose, but I'm sure they'd be willing to take them and display them prominently since there is at least one informed and up-to-date Scaper working there.
And there ya have it.. there's my Farscape "Adventure" for the day. :D
