Actually, IWB is legitimately a new Scaper, and NOT a second account of someone else's. As LB said, she's just jumping in and making herself at home here, and was somehow :rolleyes: sucked into g_s's campaign.

I know that there has been a bit of tension over the last few months about certain subjects, but I promise that IWB is a sweet lady who just feels (too much :shrug: ) at home here with the other loons ... er, um, I mean Scapers!

Okay, I gotta head out for the weekend, and you have not yet had a chance to reply, MrVesham, so I'm going to try to explain based on what I think you're upset about. If I'm way off base, let me know, and I'll reply Monday.
As I'm sure you've figured out, FMD is divided up by forums: Farscape campaign talk, Farscape episode discussion, artists creations, etc. This forum, Out of Their Minds, is for us to chat with, have serious discussions with, mess with, have fun with, and enjoy the company of our Scaper friends, in an enviroment that has nothing to do with Farscape itself.
Jeff O'Connor is one of our friends. One of my favorite people here, as a matter of fact. A group of us, including Jeff, started a thread where we pretend to be part of a campaign to elect generic_screenname president. We all play characters in that thread. Jeff pretends to be our financial officer and money handler. We all get ourselves involved in silly situations, and act out what our character would do in that particular situation.
Since Jeff hasn't posted in the thread for a few days, we are having a bit of fun with him by pretending he has run off with all the campaign funds to Bermuda or somewhere. The character iWaNTbEn is playing has been sent out to look for Jeff, to see if he did indeed run off with our fake campaign funds, or if he was the victim of some fake conspiracy.
The idea is, that Jeff will see the thread, join in the fun, and make up some story for his character?

Does this clear things up? Are you still mad at us? I'd like this to be water under the bridge. We all try to be friends here.

as I have said to people who PM me about things like this. I really don't care what is posted in many threads. I don't understand what is going on with some threads as I haven't paid any attention to some. I try to read all the threads in the campaign strategizing forum... as they are why we are here. I don't post much in there... as while it is all interesting, it isn't where my heart lies or leads me. I rarely post in the FarScape discussion forum, but I read most of the threads, it just seems like masturbation to discuss the minuteness of every episode. Fun and games... but not truly fulfilling. That also isn't where my heart lies or leads me.
Now, the OT's in the UT's is where my heart lies. I would bet over 95% of my posts are in this sub-forum. I have done just about every type of thread that is here... I have 'chatted', played the 'games', argued about anything and everything... and on and on. I don't begrudge anyone 'chatting', do as thou will. I get angry with some people... but I don't stay angry. I have only placed one person on my ignore list... who doesn't come here anymore. But that is that. If I would have known that this was a continuation of the 2004 thread, I would honestly have stayed out.

I'm not angry (would've been if it turned out to be someone from the campaign thread with a second account though).

I usually love AR jokes (well, used to - dont have the time anymore) as long as they dont 'leak out' to disrupt those who either dont care or aren't voluntarily in on it. A new thread did that. It's not as easy to say something like "if they dont want to be in on the thread, they can just ignore it" - especially if it's as confusing to those who dont know about the AR as this one was.

Just like grinner, if there were any clue this thread had to do with that joke, there would have been no problem. I probably wouldn't have even opened it up. But unfortunately, this one started out looking very suspect and given that I dont care about the campaign thing, I didn't have a clue what was up.

Maybe you could post a warning lable this is an RPG spoof or something. I don't believe everything I read, I can be a fair sceptic without good facts, ligitimate sources ect but I do tend towards taking things literally and I do kind of wander in OOTM expecting a certain amount of real-life consiquence. And if you start getting grouchy in this thread I'm breaking out water balloons.

Who here knows if you can and how to change a thread title? I think that it would solve the problem if you were to do so, iWaNTbEn. Change it to "g_s for prez silliness - looking for Jeff O.!" or something like that.
If that's something only admins can do, if you could just edit your first post so that it has right at the top it says something to the effect of: *OFFSHOOT OF JOIN ME IN 2004 THREAD - JUST HAVING FUN WITH JEFF*.

And iWaNTbEn, PLEASE don't be put off by this. You are brand new to this forum, you don't know the rules and protocol. Okay I havent been around for a few days, I have been out hitting the pavement looking for Jeff,, what a mess I have caused though, I appoligize because I had not ment to hurt, or piss any one off. I would change the title if I knew how but I dont so if someone knows how to change it,, please do...
