Little help here, please! (La Femme Nikita tv)

hey all. just found out that season 2 was 'indefinitely postponed' for release on dvd 4 days before release date (7/20/04). i've been eagerly awaiting this.

my question (networking here) is whether any Farscape fans know of a way to get burned dvd's or vcd's of "LFN" seasons. as when Farscape seasons were released, i absolutely will buy the official releases when they come out (Amazon now lists the release of s2 for LFN in 2010!), but I don't want to wait until then to enjoy them. can anyone help in this, or know a trustworthy source to obtain them? i got burned early this spring, so i want to make sure of the source. it goes without saying that i'd be willing to compensate the supplier fairly for costs incurred.

have you tried the evil Kazaa? I know its illegal and all, and I would be willing to bet that anything you get other than official releases will be about as legal. I can do a search for you if you want, 1.5Mbps dsl, but its probably about as reliable as anything else out there.

i really don't want to use Kazaa. i've done it in the past for other things, and it's not the direction i want to go. i'm just interested in dvd's and/or vcd's. :)

Though I don't ever advocate buying them, you can get them on eBay if that's what you're looking for. BTW, bigtime LFN fan here too! :D

i checked ebay last night (usa and uk sites), and they're offering some 'leaked' official copies for over $120 for s2! and that's the cheapest. when it got to within 16hrs. of auction close, the cost skyrocketed to over $450 for the season!! that's just nuts. no vcd's are being offered on ebay currently that i saw.

btw: LFN was the ORIGINAL. Alias, although a good show, is just a copy. ;P

ranger - check out one of the old LFN boards.(ezboard). there are fairies there... i got my lfn tapes from fairies back when it was on and I remember people making vcds of it..

know what? since i've posted here, i joined a yahoo group called "videotape-trading" (type it in as such when you're searching for a yahoo group). apparently they claim to be the oldest 'trading' group on yahoo. since yesterday (when i joined), i've gotten 2 responses. one guy who lives on Long Island is able to make a season on dvd (3 or 4 ep's a dvd) with custom menu's and custom grafics for $30 shipped (i'm in chicago area)!!! that's frellin' awesome, especially when it comes to the prices that the official 'leaked' copies are going for on ebay (see my post above)!

what this guy's doing is working on rendering his tapes to dvd. he currently has a 2wk. waiting list i've just got on. he told me he's working on converting his collection of "over 300 tapes" to dvd. he also has two 'prices' for a dvd: one with commercials and one w/out. he edits the commercials out, if that's what a person wants, on his computer - so it's a perfect digital edit. the more expensive one is the $30 shipped (w/out commercials). this yahoo group would be good for ANY show people are interested in trading/getting custom copies of shows that're not sold.
