Okay so I have brought up several transformer related threads before...So here's another one.

I found this site while looking up info on Ligers and Tigons. http://www.10fingers.com/3d/index.htm
It is frelling awesome. This guy makes 3d enders of transformers, from G1 to War Within, though no Beast Wars/Machines yet. He has made some of his own. Most notably adding two new Dinobots, and making the Dinobots an really killer gesalt.
:eek4:

So pics of these renders are amazing, but the big catch is he makes little movies of transformations! There is alot to go through and drool over. so have fun.

Slightly Farscape related note. On the front page is a poll to see what he will make next. you vote and it takes you to a results page that has www.savefarscape.com banners :aok: Is this guy cool, or what?!

Spedoinkel, if you think that is something, check this out, from a UK artist drawing a SAVAGE Dinobot Gesalt. Warning this mini-comic is very gory. Click the "Beast Within Scans" thread: http://www.transfandom.net/forums/index.php?showforum=5

If that does not work, here is the link to the pics themselves, don't be fooled by the link names, these are large scans.

G1 Megatron truly rocks.

So DB, do you have just the TF Movie DVD, or did you collect the entire series also?

I have only the soundtrack, and the bootlegged "more complete" soundtrack.

You gotta remember, I've got 13 years on you... the Transformers were well past my toy collecting days. I left the collecting to the fellow next door my Freshman year. He had most all of them... and a good many of the comics.

However, even at that age, watching Optimus Prime return to face Galvatron was mandatory for most of the occupants of the all Freshman male dormitory (scary idea) occupants.

Well Rhino did a good job of remastering the series, I have the entire G1 collection on DVD Boxset, including the TF: Movie on DVD.

Also, I have the TF:Movie OST, (I have not been to Botcon, but I ordered these CDs mail order these following CDs from Botcon website store) the Botcon "Til All Are One" two disc CD, the Botcon 97 Concert two disc CD, the Botcon Protoform Sessions CD, the Botcon Artistic Transformations CD, and the Botcon "Light Their Darkest Hour" CD (which is basically the instumentals of the TF: Movie, found on the second disc of the "Til All Are One", music the "Legacy" simple track).

Currently I am collecting the "Jem and the Holograms" series (it's actually pretty good) from Rhino on DVD Boxset, which has also been remastered, strangely these shows have aged VERY well, then I plan to collect the G.I. Joe series.

Though not a fan of G.I. Joe, I do remember the "crossover" character in the character of "Snake" when Rodimus Prime, Arcee, and Ultra-Magnus were transferred into human shells for one episode.

I always assumed that was Cobra Commander.

Yep, that was CC, the episode is titled "Only Human", and if you missed Season 3 G.I. Joe, the Baroness, with the help or an energy well, was able to turn CC from a snake to a humaniod snake, and if you notice in the TF S3 Episode "Only Human", CC fingers are the same color as his skin was in G.I. Joe Season 3.

There are two new GI Joe/Transformer comics out that are supposed to be very good.
One set in the standard time line. The other set in WWII where they gave all the Transformers a WWII rework. I think that one is by DreamWave, and the art I've seen for it is amazing.

The other G.I. Joe/Transformer 6 part comic crossover is by Devil's Due and it deals with what if Cobra found the TF Ark (spaceship) before the TF re-activated, the only transformer that Cobra Commander and Destro find that is just barely activated is Megatron.

I heard they are okay and the trade-paperbacks are either out in stores or will be out soon.

By if you are G1 TF fan, I recommend you pick up the new TF trilogy novel (in this order, Hardwired, Annihilation and Fusion. I am part way through Annihilation and so far the story is VERY good, barring the grammar errors.

There are two versions of the 20th Anniv Optimus Prime, one that Takara released which comes with a cardboard trailer and the one that Hasbro released which has some "battle damage".

Hasbro's is cheaper (around $60.00) than Takara (around $90.00)

There are two versions of Unicron that are out in stores, the Armada Unicron (which it's paint job is similar to the TF:Movie Unicron's paint job) and the Energon Unicron (which has a darker paint job).

Both come with the detachable Matrix, also I think both of them (I know for sure on the Takara one) a Megatron-gun for Prime to hold in his hand(s).

But don't feel bad, I cannot afford either of them also. :)

Isn't there a company that makes all metal Optimus Primes? I have seen what looks like metal trailers on a web site... but can't remember where it was...
