I don't know if anybody else has been having these troubles but I have been having some issues with my Instant Cash and Check card. Last week, my dad and I mixed up our cards and he proceeded to get cash from an ATM using my card but with his PIN number. When I got my card back from him, I ran a test to see if the same would happen for me. I punch in a random PIN number with my card and I was able to check the balance of my account.

To see what was wrong, I went to the bank and they told me that the company suffered a computer crash last week and certain people's accounts can be accessed with random PIN numbers. They also told me that the company is working to fix this problem as soon as possible.

I figured that I could give this warning to anybody who has an Instant Cash and Check card because I found this situation to be very scary.

 You would think they would temporarily deactivate accounts to prevent abuse. That is a horrific problem.

I know. I have quit carrying mine in my wallet because I don't want it to fall into the wrong hands.

what bank do you use, vs? that would help a lot of us out...is it the bank whose software crashed, or is it a problem with the software itself so it matters not what bank we use, as long as we have a check card (and the bank uses that software), it means we're vulnerable?

The problem is with the company that supplies the cards and not with my bank. The bank was vague with what they told me but they did say that the problem is with the card suppliers computers.
