Is ADV also re-issuing the sets? Two web sites (buy.com and Amazon) both have a DVD listed that looks like a re-issue of the original "Premiere, I, E.T." DVD. The release date is sometime late September.

Well, phoo. I would have waited had I know it would be that soon. I didn't expect it any earlier then next summer at the rate they were moving. Oh well. At least they've finally got off their butts and started realeasing the box sets sooner. I really wish they'd don't it in the first place.

It seems like the Farscape dvds are more of a marketing ploy than providing quality products. They released all of the individual disks then box sets with the same extras. nearly all of the extras are lacking, and the only season with a truly great number of extras is the first season, and most of the best extras are the commentaries. There are, i believe, 3 or 4, at most, commentaries on the second season. I'm just a tad disappointed by ADV

I did hear that ADV was reissuing all of the season 1 dvds for some reason and they're to be released at the end of august. Could be a rumor, but that's what I heard...

There are only 2 commentaries for ADV's Season 2 DVDs. But if you want more, I recommend Region 2 Boxset release which contains 5 commentaries (2 from ADV and 3 from Australian release). It could be awhile still. ADV hasn't even officially announced the set yet (I think?)

Maybe someone should e-mail ADV. Last time I did asking about the cover, I got a reply in about an hour, and they posted it the next day. I don't really have time right now.

I sent an e-mail last night, so something should be coming soon. One thing I know is the set is definitely different from the other sets. This one looks to be a 5-DISC set, unlike the other ones. ADV is doing what they did to the "Andromeda: season two" set, double siding the discs. It isn't concrete, but it looks like it is going to happen.

I don't know about everyone else, but I really don't want my dvds to be double sided. yes they save space, but it's much easier to scratch either side. I always have trouble with those stupid double sided disks, finding out which side is the one i want to watch.

they hopefully will double layer, which lets you put 4 eps per disc like they do with B5 and pretty much every other series out there. But, they will probably just slide a box around the existing 5 season 4 cases like they did for 2 and 3.

the box sets are exactly the same discs as the individual disc sets
just in a nice box for a better price. so unless the other discs are double sided
the box set wont be either.

ADV still won't admit they are releasing this, even though almost EVERY major online retailer has the set listed.

Retailers get information concerning release dates WAY before the company actually gives word through an "official" press release. I'm sure there'll be an official word real soon... They've already started announcing 10/5 dates.

Thanks for checking on that Chricton. I figured it was too good to be true. I also wish Ben could have been interviewed. I really miss him in the extras. Besides those two gripes, I love the set and wouldn't trade it for the world. Well, except for one that had commentaries and Ben. ;)

Question: Wasn't this season in "widescreen"? The description says "full frame 1.33". Is this widescreen? I'm ready to buy; just want to make sure I get the best version.

It is widescreen, that's just a misprint. I think they forgot to change that part of their press release. The individually released discs are widescreen.
