Hey Scapers!

I posted this on the Farscape Usenet newsgroup(alt.tv.farscape) a few days ago, but in case any of you don’t check that, I’m doing a quick repost of the info here.

There is an company currently offering free Flatscreen TVs and free iPods if you join up in a referral type program. Basically you’d sign up, complete an offer yourself, and then get 8 others to do the same thing. Then they ship you the flatscreen or iPod. And the offers are all trial type things, which you can cancel later on, so you don’t incur any actual charges.

If you want to take a look, here are the two URLs:
Flatscreen Offer: http://www.FreeFlatscreens.com
iPod Offer: http://www.FreeIPods.com

If any of you are interested, I’d recommend joining with the eBay offer. That way you don’t have to enter any credit card information, and its frankly the easiest offer around. The AOL ones would be the second best, as they give you 45 days to cancel the offer. So you can actually test the services out a bit and cancel later if you want. Just remember to cancel after you’ve been approved and get the TV/iPod ;)

Oh yeah, if you want to see some proof that the company is in fact giving out these TV sets and iPods, check out the forums at GearLive.com. A Ton of people on the forums are doing this offer and getting the TV/iPods(this is where I first ran across the deal).
GearLive forum: http://gearlive.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=13

So anyways, check it out and decide if you want to do it! Its worth a try for a free TV or iPod anyways. And its all trial offers, so you can cancel with no harm no foul anyways.

But if you join up, want to do a fellow Scaper a favor and use my link? I’m sitting at 2 of 8 required referrals, and I’m hoping some of the community forums I visit will be able to help me out! I really really want to be watching Peacekeeper Wars on a new 27 inch Flatscreen TV!! :)

Um... moderator delete thread, please? I had the decency not to make a post outta this. Same should hold for everyone.

Why delete the thread? I'm only telling the forum about the offer.

I've provided all the information above, provided the full non-referral URLs so each forum member can decide for themselves. I believe I gave a honest and brief summary of the topic. I could go into how the company makes money, why this deal is legitimate, etc. But then there would be lots of information to wade through.

If the issue is due to my referral link, you have one in your signature for the free iPod deal. I'm just making an open post because I think some Scapers might want to give this a try, and yes, I'd appreciate it if they'd help me if they want to. But if they dont want to help me, they can use the main URL. Thats why I provided it. I'm not trying to pass my referral link off as the main website, that would be unethical. I'm just trying to share this offer with the Scaper community.

Because it's spam. It's counted as spam elsewhere, it should be spam here. I put my link in my sig and let those who are curious or want to help check it out - not start the obvious "look at me, I'm at the top of the pyramid" thread about the thing.

I've never mentioned setting up a pyramid scheme in order to generate referral links, though yes, many other forums are doing such things. I'm just telling people about the offer.

A spam post would consist of my referral link and the phrase, "Click here to earn a free TV." Not an explanation of the offer, not full URLs directly to the site before any mention of a referral link, nor would it be from someone who has already contributed to this community. If I wanted to spam this forum I would make a temporary account, post my link, and never visit it again. I wouldn't bother with these replies trying to explain how I'm just trying to let people know of the offer.

All I'm doing is letting people know that this exists. If the mods wish to delete this post, then by all means, that is their decision. But hopefully they'll give this thread a read and understand it wasn't my intention to spam, nor even seemingly spam, this community. I'm just posting something that I thought some people might like to try.
