My cat, Jesse James, was lying there sleeping, and snoring, minding his own business. Well, I guess the snoring was getting too loud for his brother, Frank James, who proceeded to walk over and bite Jesse. :lol Poor Jesse had no clue! But he'll get his big brother back, he always does.

Animal stories here. :)

My dog got into my closed handpurse and ate the contents. Yes, as in almost everything. Credit card, drivers license, my favorite pen, all the e-mail addresses I got from people at the writing conference I went to, a $20 bill, and one packet of breath mints. I guess she wanted minty fresh breath to try to hide what she'd done

So, does that mean you won the "Pillow Wars".... or is this just a temporary cease fire? :kitty:

hahaha

Jesse ate the antenna off of my radio. It was one of those wire ones. He ate the whole thing. This was like, 4 years ago, so I guess he's fine!

Haha, well, I lost. :( I had to get the old, non-comfy pillow back out. But sometimes my foe (Frank) sleeps on the coveted pillow, and sometimes he doesn't. He like to be tricky. He's cunning, my foe. And cute. :)

I can laugh about it now, but yesterday when it happened, I was so pissed. And she knew it! Spent the entire day lying on the bed quietly staring at me with this miserable, guilty expression on her face. She was so happy when I got home after going out that night and gave her a hug.

Fortunately, 4 of the 5 people I got email addies from have websites, so I was able to track them down again. The fifth -- the one I wanted to stay in contact with most -- gave her card to one of the others, so that one's helping me contact her again.

Now the pen, that's the part that still pisses me off. Got it from an editor at Tor for her new line of books, so it's not like I can pick up another at the store. It's purple with silver glitter and letters on it. Writes in black ink. Beautiful pen. I had planned on keeping it a long time (thus why I'd hidden it in purse, knowing my dog would eat it if I left it out.) I'm thinking of sending that editor a letter and SASE, explaining what happened and asking for another. Knowing her, she'd probably get a huge kick out of it.

It's hard to stay mad at them because they're just so darn cute! :)

Yup, my check card. And she did poop out the $20, but it wasn't in any condition to recover, disgust aside.

I'm reminded of the scene in the remake of Gone In Sixty Seconds...where the dog eats the keys and they have to wait for him to crap them out. :lol eww!

BT, maybe you should pull her ear a little bit...maybe a 10 will come out of her mouth.

That's about what I was doing. Only I was waiting to see if she crapped it all out to have the peace of mind to know she wasn't clogged up and in need of medical attention.

I think my cat is only being nice to me until the day he can annex my desk chair, ordinarily he spends a lot of time on my lap, but whenever it's raining and I come home from wherever I was I walk into my room and if there's no stuff on it, there's a black and white furry blob curled up on my chair, usually I either have to get him off it or pick the little bugger up and put him in my lap but the minute I'm out of the room he's back up, I suspect he'd like to throw me off the chair one of these days but I've got an insurmountable height and weight advantage over him...that and he's either a master of passive resistance or just too lazy to fight...not that I'm complaining

Chair? We don't need no stinkin' chair! My dog thinks I am a chair!

Me: 5'4" and 115lbs

My dog: 6'4" (when she's standing on her hind legs) and 145lbs.

Yet I'm the one who ends up being the chair. We have some pics somewhere of her sitting on my lap. All you see is her and my legs sticking out under her.

Nah, she's really just a little girl compared to some others of her breed.

What breed is she again?

An old coworker of mine had 2 St. Bernards, one was tiny and weighed 110, and the other, at 7 months weighed 120. And big dogs grow until they're nearly 2, that dog will easily reach 200 lbs.

Great Dane. She's 2 years, 4 months old, and still getting a little heavier. She's pretty much done "growing," but she has a bit more bulking out to do.

Great Danes are soooooooooo pretty. Sadly I've never met one in person, but I've heard such great things about them and their temperment.

I have 2 beagles and they are crazy. Not crazy like the cats, which are bad crazy. Crazy like my husband, which is the good and interesting kind of crazy.

I've heard that about beagles.

Danes are wonderful dogs, but they're not for everyone. They're people persons. They need to be in the house, on the couch next to you, in your bed, following you everywhere. Hell, mine would take showers with me if I let her, but she's too big for both of us to fit anymore. They don't handle being left alone for long. Mine can handle about a half hour out in the backyard without me before she starts trying to beat her way through the door. I always have to have someone home to babysit her when I go out because 145lbs is a lot of destruction if she gets upset or scared.

Beagles are pack dogs, so they do not like to be alone. But at the same time they are pretty independent. We have two so they can keep each other company, which they do. Which I really like.

I baby sat a labrador for a week a while back and I wanted to kill him. He was soooooo a people dog. Didn't want anything to do with my dogs, didn't want to go outside unless the humans were outside, didn't want to be left alone even with the other dogs present. Ugh. It was the longest week of my life. Constant with the dog.

i LOVE people dogs! it's what i want out of a cat, something friendly, something that wants attention. but my boyfriend likes dogs and not cats, and since i like both, i figure i'd let him have fun and have a dog in the future. he wants a rottweiler. oy, boys and guard dogs.

i want a beagle, and funny enough, he does too. i just want a friendly dog that likes people, and likes being around people all the time.
