Apologies if something like this has been started before but I looked through and I'm sure I couldn't find anything...

Out of Their Minds is a fantastic episode - this I'm sure we all know. With some fun memorable moments.

My question therefore runs like this - is it just me or do the bad guys from this episode (sorry - the name has currently slipped my mind) bear more than a passing resemblence to the Skeksis of Henson's The Dark Crystal?

Just thought I'd bring that to everyone's attention as an example of the great work that they did on Farscape - even if it was slightly inspired by some of their earlier work. ;)

Also: as an addendum to the main topic - is it just me or does Pilot really come into his own in Season Two? His personality seems to become very strong and the talent of the puppeteers really shine here.

The Halosians were a tribute to the Skesis. Good catch on that one.

And yes, Pilot really did some great stuff as the show went on, except for season 4, didn't see much of him there. I think the puppeteers were getting better as a team and the writers were really starting to figure the characters out and how to really integrate them together.

but still!
I like a lot Pilot's 'performance' on season two but in season 4 there's almost no showing of his emotions (aside from LB), he barely interacted with the others, we didn't watch him after Aeryn's arrival (promises) for example, how could they no show that aspect of him ???? which brings me to the complete lack ('m not counting the very few, which were very few) of interaction between them, when after TWWW it was clear, IMO, that they cared very much for each other
Or when John dissapears inside the wormwhole (UR)???? he is very afraid of them, so naturally he would have been terrified by John been missing
Or what did going into TS do to him??? after all he always wanted to 'see the stars' and that territory was completely new to him????

No, I'm not bitter! I'm just missing my fav show and wishing for never made cut scenes. :D

I'm gonna be good and stay quiet on this. That's just about the only thing, other than the crystalization I didn't like about the last 4. As opposed to earlier parts of season 4 where it was hard for me to find something I did like.

Pilot was great in Season 3. We also got to see that he could be quite nasty and irritable to those who threatened his "family". I loved the maniacal laugh he does at one point when vacuuming a tralk who tried to blow up the ship :)

I bet the nice guy thing is all an act. I can just imagine the private conversations he has with Moya. C: "Pilot how's Moya" P: "Fine Commander" M: "I'm not fiine I'm scared" P: "You're always scared, I spent the whole first season telling them how scared you are. They don't listen anyway. I'm just going to tell them you're fine" M: "I hate you". P: "Haha, they'll never know as you can only tell them through me".

Well maybe in an unrealised reality... :p

Then, of course, she cuts off his nutrients and he quickly says what she wants him to say... ;)

Damn... Pilot/Moya... Me/My Wife... it's all the same...

Leviathan/Pilot Wisdom: Never bite the nutrient feed that... sustains you. And when the ship wants to leave, mention it frequently and stridently to the crew, even if they're arguing. It saves on pulse fire later.

Ever wonder what might happen if Pilot was suddenly mind switched and was suddenly stuck in a different body perhaps permanently?

I have to agree, much of Pilot's character was missing in season 4 . . .

Before he was bonded to Moya, Pilot obviously ate some kind of food. Doesn't he miss it, I wonder? For him it's like being on an IV for the rest of his life. I mean, even if he ate slugs or something, he'd miss them. Sometimes I imagine him asking the guys when they're going down to a planet, to bring him back some goodies. "Uh, Commander, if you would be so kind, could you please bring me back a six-pack and a bag of chips? It's been soooo long!"
