I was one of the "lucky" ones who purchased the first season in the original single cases. Does anyone know where you can find empty cases from the season one box set? I have all the other 2 disc cases from later seasons and would like to have my sets match (and also save space).

The season one box set was all the single disc cases slapped into a box. They went for the not changing the production method. Hey, I was lucky enough to buy them all before the box sets came out. I'm not that patient.

I know I'm replying to an old post, but I just wanted to point out that this is incorrect.

They didn't just "slap all the single disc cases into a box" -- the cases in the box set weren't the regular single cases, but actually "slim double" cases. (Slim doubles are the same width as a regular keep case, but they hold two discs instead of one.)

Since there were 11 discs in season one, the box set contains 5 slim double cases and 1 single disc case.

I did see the case that was the slim cases. When it was first released, the season 1 box set was the single cases, but later became the slim cases.

Of course, now they are coming out with the Starburst editions which are 7 or so eps on 2 discs. Gotta love it when they do this crap to you.

I bought the season one box set immediately when it came out (I had it pre-ordered), and it came with the slim double cases. It's been that way right from the beginning.

Yeah, pretty annoying. And then, after all the Starburst volumes come out, they'll probably release a super cool Starburst box set.
