Earlier this week, Vivendi Universal Games announced a game based on the film classic Scarface, due to hit consoles in Fall 2005. The October issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly will have a world exclusive feature on the game with images, concept art, and comments from the creators.
In the article, readers will learn how developer Radical Games and publisher Vivendi plan to make Scarface a continuation of the movie, rather than a re-telling of the same story from the film, and how technical issues like vehicles and speech mix with the morality of developing a South Florida drug empire.

Peter Wanat, producer of The Chronicles of Riddick, is VU Games' Senior Producer on Scarface, and he tells EGM: "Players have seen the movie -- the movie does a great job of telling that story. We would much rather give the player a unique experience. We're gonna get away from games [where] you've seen the movie, [now] play the movie."

To get a taste of what to expect from the feature, check out these first two screens from the game, showing off Tony Montana's weaponry and one of the boats players can use. The October issue of EGM will arrive in subscribers' mailboxes any day now and will be on store shelves soon. Both 1UP and EGM will be back with more on the game

Damnit!

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was Scarface the game. Now they are bringing Tony back in a new game, except, get this! Its a sequel!

How could a man survive several bursts from automatic weapons and a point blank double shotgun blast to the back, plus a two story fall, landing face down in a fountain?

Now you are out to snuff Sosa?

Just no, no.

That's just not right...

Well, I think that now that the studio bosses found out that they can make even more money making crappy games, they're just gonna keep the poop-shooter open.

So I figure that the only thing we can do is not buy those crappy games.

There can be only one?

So, does Tony Montana get to bruy his head in a huge pile of coke? Does he say "Say hello to my little friend" before blowing people away with a ridiculously big gun?
