Thoughts and Prayers Needed for a Relative

Hey everyone, I normally wouldn't do this but I found out some really terrible news today.

My mom's cousin, Katie, who happens to be a year younger than me, is in the ICU and has been since Wednesday. It seems that she went to have some dental work done and had a severe reaction to some medication that they gave her. I don't know all the details but I know that she is on a ventilator right now and has had 7 blood tranfusions.

This is all really scary, and I'm terribly shocked, and this has all been going on while I have been moving into college and having lots of fun, and it's insane to think that at the same time my cousin, a year younger than I am, has appearently been fighting to stay alive :( It's crazy to think this happened from dental work, and that it's happening to someone so young.

Please keep her in your thoughts and if you have them, prayers. She'll definately be in mine.

DAMN. Usually the worst that can happen is someone reacts badly to the adrenaline that is given along with the local anasthetic (to stem bleeding). I've never HEARD of something like this!

A request of prayer should never be overlooked. From your description the whole family is in need of prayer. I'll keep them in my prayers today.

Not knowing what is going to happens next is tough. This kind of thing always reminds me of how you really never should put off your life. You just never know what is to come...

Sorry to hear that.
I know your pain. My Mom just spent 21/2 weeks in a similar condition.
She is awake now and recovering.
My prayers are for Katie's speedy recovery, and for for you and your family to have the strength to get past these trying times.
