...has anyone else?
On the Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars official site now, there's a "you can help promote Farscape by clicking on these banners and putting them on your sites, etc" thing... they want people to help promote the miniseries.. Skiffy... does!
I mean obviously they want promotion... but it's just funny seeing that on the Skiffy website... 'help get the word out to other 'Scapers!'

I heard about this here, first... but it IS strange to see that on the skiffy site.
Well, I guess not too strange anymore... I mean, they DO have new "management" so to speak. The people running skiffy now are NOT the same people who cancelled FS in the first place. We got people who actually like scifi at SCIFI again! :D

"Like, omigod, who watches the Sci-Fi channel for science fiction... ugh, those nerds. I'll just keep watching Mad, Mad House, because it coincides so well with my reality television week of broadcasting. They used to have some Bar steak show or something... I dunno, didn't go so well, it was like, intelligent and whatever."

I was flabbergasted... I mean come on.. they just NOW decided to do that... like THEY were the ones that were promoting it... ROTFL who do they think they are??
IF it hadn't been for them we would STILL HAVE FARSCAPE FULL TIME!
It seems outrageous... and funny... now they are going to take credit... what do you want to bet.....
I am going to be sick now... :BARF!

Jeff, that's why Skiffy offered us, the fans, the use of their banners.

not really... because they were cool and when they found out we were doing banner ads, they said we could use theirs.
AND promos for the mini were seen on the discovery channel tonight. as MS said, as the airdate gets closer, we'll see more and more promotion.
still lovin' tom vitale, oh yes i am. :love2:

Hey, so far, Tom Vitale has been true to his word. I have a feeling that, during the reign of michael jackson, Tom was pretty stiffled in what he wanted to do for Farscape (and other shows he liked). It wasn't his fault personally that the channel went to "reality" programming.
I still find it strange, and GREAT, that scifi has the banner offer right there on the FS front page! :D That was unexpected. I thought the offer was only to the people on the FMD who were involved directly in promoting the mini. This is WAAAY better. ;)

I sure hope someone takes their advice and tries promoting this thing. But who would do that?

you're not wrong, pkgrl... at first, that was what we were told SciFi would like it. but i personally find it Very. Cool. that they went and added it to the page and made the banners available to EVERYONE. :D
plus, you know, saves me bunches of work now. ;)
