Michael's gotten a couple of replies here http://www.syfyportal.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=12678#12678 in regard to what eps are essential before he watches the mini, 'cause he doesn't have time to watch all 88. Take a wander over to his site and let him know what you think.

Besides, it's a pretty cool genre site, if you haven't checked it out before.

I clicked, I went over there, I saw, and those list were pretty comprehensive.

Some of my personal choices are a little different - 'Til the Blood Runs Clear' is an optional view in the conversion-kits that I send out, but it's always a good addition, though 'DNA Mad Scientist', an essential Aeryn episode, wasn't getting the love that I like to give it...

Maybe I just need to add my list to that thread...

I was unable to whittle away any of the S4 episodes, save for possibly 'Mental as Anything' and 'Twice Shy' - o.k., and 'A Prefect Murder'.

EDITED TO ADD: I've boiled four seasons down to 24 hours, though it leaves a couple of deaths unaccounted for...

This is my “must see” list that I composed for someone back in August who wanted to get up to speed. Obviously, since we’re now closer to the mini’s airdate there may not be time to watch this entire list but it can be used as a guide. Perhaps you can compare it against others. Remember, this is just my opinion. So those who disagree, please don’t jump on me. :D

The list is in chronological-story order and I don’t think I missed anything. It’s broken down into three episode categories, “Arch Related” (i.e. must see), “Arch Related Bits,” and “Good Stand Alones.” And of course some episodes overlap categories. For example, Crackers Don’t Matter has one major arch related bit but besides that it’s a great Stand Alone. I hope this is helpful. :)

Of the various lists over there, yours was the closest to what I would have done. The only thing I would add would be Crackers Don't Matter -- because it's both funny and very dark in its humor, and quite revealing about the conflicts just under the surface.

I'm just curious why people don't see PK Tech Girl as Arc related?
If John hadn't met Gilina she would never have helped him in Nerve / The Hidden Memory and John would not have escaped Scorpy's clutches. Even worse, Aeryn would have died without the graft which Gilina obtained.

True, and that's a very good point. I think, *maybe,* some people feel that if Aeryn doesn't get stabbed in A Bug's Life the whole Gilina aspect is mute. I don't know, just guessing. Like John said, "Would'a, Should'a, Could'a." That's one reason I broke my list down the way I did - "Arch Related," "Arch Related Bits". Although I do have it listed as a "Stand Alone." I may have to edit my list. :)
