I only wish VCR tapes were 8 hours instead of 6, for I'm going to have to be hovering around my VCR everyday when 1PM rolls by.

They do sell 8 hrs VCR tapes. Sony and Fuji both make them. I found them in my local Kmart.

Is J-Lo hosting it?
I saw it advertized on SciFi last night as "Every Frelling Episode"! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that!! :listen:  :eek4:

and it's not being shown in order...
I noticed that when looking at the episode titles a few days ago. Some of it is alright, one can see it happening in that order if they don't understand that it doesn't. The one big problem however is "A Bug's Life" being shown about three-fifths of the way through the first season rather than toward the tail end.

I just noticed the out of order stuff because PK Tech Girl is on now, after Throne for a Loss. Can Sci Fi not get anything right? WHHHHY can't they show them in order? How hard is it for them to queue them up in order? ARRRGGGHHHHH!!

Two people have already called me at work today to tell me it's on (I already knew, had stayed home to watch the beginning of Premier just 'cause, but is was nice to get the phone calls).
Then, of course, I had to call someone to tell them to be sure and watch, and they were already watching!

There shall no longer be any holes in my collection. I was missing a few episodes I could have cried but now I am happy.

This is great. I was hoping that Sci-Fi would do something like this before the mini. They really seem to be promoting and trying to get people to watch. I only wish that some of these episodes would air a little later, maybe show some of the really important eps from 6-8 pm, like they do for Stargate. I know to show the entire series they couldn't air it in primetime, but more people would have the opportunity to see it. We can't ask for everything, right? Or can we? Hmm.

A question. If you didn't know they were showing the episodes out of order, could you tell by simply watching them? Does any plot line get confused by them not showing them in order, at this point in the first season of episodes?
One possible reason for changing the order of the episodes shown is to avoid starting a series of episodes of a story arc one day, and having to wait until the next day to see the continuation of the story arc in the next day's episodes.

No--its only the first season that's really out of order--(and a minor bit of the second)
Here's the order they are following (and it makes no sense to me)
1 prem
5 back and back to the future (we find out Dargo's secret in this one-should be later)
3 exodus from Genesis (john is much more naive in this one than in back&back)
4 throne
7 PK tek girl (why here????? a bit soon to see Aeryn get jealous!!)
6 thank god its Friday again
2 I et
8 that old black magic
that's the first day
Then
9 DNA
10 Got a Secret
11 Blood runs Clear
18 A Bug's Life (what's this one doing here? Chiana doesn't come aboard til Durka!)
12 Rhapsody in blue
13 The Flax
14 Jeremiah Crichton
15 Durka Returns (when Chiana first comes aboard)
then
16 Human Reaction
19 Nerve
20 Hidden Memory
17 Through the Looking Glass
21 Bone to be Wild
22 Family Ties
and on to season 2
The only other order changes are that they go back to starting season 2 with Dream a Little Dream (which was moved to the 8th place in the original broadcast, although originally planned as the season 2 opener) and we don't know which version of Dream a Little Dream they will use--one version fits in the first place, and the other one has another scene to fit it in the 8th place (when John is really back)
And they put My three Crichtons after the princess trilogy rather than before it, but that doesn't matter so much.
Everything else is in the proper sequence.

Back to back (you know what I mean) really throws things off. Dargo aims his Qualta blade at Matala, then the next episode they're like "Whoah, that thing's a gun, too??"
Its also pretty disconcerting to have I,Et coming on so late in the sequence, after Dargo and John are already allies (in Throne) or almost friends (in back and back, Friday, etc)--in I, Et its a big deal that they shake hands for the first time. I see no point to the reordering--and its all on the same day, too.
