OK, guys. You're sitting down, right? :comp:
I had occasion drive up to Dallas Friday, and Brad Keller let me have another little peek at the new and improved KILLER with new music and a brand new re-edit. I can tell you absolutely without hesitation that this is a worthy movie! Ben fans, DO NOT watch this alone. I screamed :gasp: and I cried :cry2: - and I had already seen it once!!! (actually, parts of it I'd watched 25 times before I ever saw it in context...) No kidding!! I was absolutely in tears! :cry2: :cry2: :cry2: Forget peeling me off the floor this time.. :faint: I just need to find a therapist... or another movie with more Ben. Lots more Ben. :surf:
I was just so totally jazzed! Is there a descriptive word for, "My heart just turned upside down and stayed there?!" :thud: I don't have a single criticism. There was lots of Ben, and all of it had lots of depth and all the usual intensity that we've come to expect from Ben Browder. Brad really unleashed Ben and brought out his best in Killer!
I can honestly say, as a serious and unrepentant Benaholic who has gone out and bought or borrowed or paid extra for the Lifetime and True channels just to see every movie I could with Ben in it, A Killer Within shows off Ben's talent better than anything he's been in so far - with the exception of Farscape.
Besides the fact that we want to let the world know that we're a loyal fan base and that Ben's name is bankable, this little indie movie is worth watching more than once. There are little things in each scene that you don't get without searching them out. There are nuances in the plot you won't get the first time through, but you will the second time through.
I was sorely resentful that I had to leave without my OWN copy!!!! I still want to watch it about 5 more times! And then after that, I want to go through it and play, pause, rewind, play, screen cap...
We have to wait 'til December?!?! Aack!! :irked:
Well, OK, when I DO get mine, it will have a really cool little interview and some extras. *big sigh* ... and you know, guys, this one is a real collectible.
AND......winks at Elle... :shhh:
I saw lots of possible stuff that might be auctioned at Ebay. I made a suggestiion about what I would bid on!! ... some really cool looking stuff, besides just that ABC gum.
And, heh - I had a lady ask me about my hat today (that says, "A Killer Within), so I told her it was a little Indie film out of Dallas (and she was from Dallas). So, she wanted to see a picture of the Handsome Man... (Bwahahaha!) All I had were the PKW promo pics. I flipped the page, to John and Aeryn looking all cozy in all their leather clad glory, and she was all, "Oh, MY! (gasp) He IS handsome!!" I loaded her up with the Regional Scapers newsletter, and pretty piccies and Primer flyers and the dates for the Mini! She said she was going to have a party and invite her lady friends and they'd all watch the Mini together! Ah. Two birds with one stone!!!!
