Hi! Ok so in my season 3 # 5 DVD, in Into the Lion's Den part 1, when Crichton is talking to the wormhole research alien with little spikes on his head, talking about the phase shielding, the dvd freezes for a second, and I see a graphical distortion on screen, and then it corrects itself. It's not a huge problem, but it sure does annoy the heck outta me. Does anyone else have this or am I just unlucky? :(
Yay for my first post. :D

Your first post deserves another first post!
My 3.5 DVD doesn't have a pause at the place yours did. Your disc probably has a small manufacturing defect which is causing the glitch.
However, I did notice a pause at a different location. Mine is on the second disc, right near the end of "Dog With Two Bones." The pause happens right before the "executive producer" credit comes up. Does yours (or anyone else's) disc have this same pause?
(I first thought it was a defect, but then I noticed the same exact kind of pause -- also right before the "executive producer" credit -- on one of my 4.1 discs. Could it be a layer change? I'm not sure. It doesn't make sense that there would be a layer change right near the end of the last episode of a disc.)

With the price of DVDs going lower, you must also understand that they are making them cheaper in quality. They are now VERY fragile, especially ones that are not made by large studios like MGM or Universal. The other day I was watching my Star Trek series DVDs and one of them has major distortion problems in one scene. You can either send it back for a refund/replacement if the seller lets you or you can moan, groan and whine about it till the cows come home. Scape on!

It might be your player; some of my Farscape DVDs skip or freeze when playing them in my Zenith DVD player, but not in my PS2 or in my Mac.
Course, I hear that Zenith products are crap, so there might be the answer to my problem right there...
Consider the DVD player.

It might be the layer change on the DVD. Layer changes arent supposed to have graphical distortions though. They just freeze a little. Your disk probably has other problems.
