Am I the only one who thinks their new commercial is creepy. The idea of waking up with the "Burger King" in a bed with that plastic face is just...creepy. And then when the Burger King touches the guy. Weird.

to me that's worse than the horse head. ;)

Seriously, both Burger King and McD's have some horrible commercials. I shudder to think what kids are learning from those Chicken Select commercials where they guy is the world's biggest eema. Someone starts going off on me about their dumb chicken like that and I'll have to just kick their eema into next week.

That just gave me one more reason not to eat at McD's. I may love their fries, but I won't be eating there until they change their campaign.

I saw those McD commercials. You're right. They are stupid. If a co-worker of mine acted like that, I'd assume they were drunk again or snorting something in the restroom. Do advertisers really think we'll buy cause of stupid commercials like these two?

The worst McDondalds ad I've seen on tv has to be the one they ran back when they were gushing over their all whitemeat chicken nuggets. This girl is sitting at the table with her boyfriend who's busy talking to her and she's not paying one bit of attention to him. Instead her mind is wondering on about the nuggets and then she sees a guy walk into the restaurant that she finds more attractive than her boyfriend and she comments on how it's like the old chicken nuggets versus the new ones: (paraphrasing) the old ones were ok until something better comes along.

What a great message that sends: date people solely as placeholders until someone better shows up.

Piece of Sheeat.

Old radio spot:

Man: "Can you say Egg-McMuffin?"
Stoner: "Sure....... Egg-uh-muffin..."

BK's King in the bed commercial... no way... if I wake up with some freak in a plastic mask in my bed... it's kill or be killed.... frell the breakfast sandwich...

if anything like ether of BK or McD commercials happened to me I would assume the other person was about to sacrifice me in some insane cult ritual and I would be forced to kill the SOB on the spot.

I'm with you here.

And, oooh Chick-fil-a...there's one in town now, but it's a city of a million plus and of course opens in a part of town nowhere near where I live or ever go. I miss Chick-fil-a.

Even worse than that, we get Sonic ads on TV here and the nearest one is like 100 miles away up in the LA area. Thanks for the tease bozos. Growing up in Texas I loved Sonic, especially their milkshakes.

Of course I eat so little fast food, maybe once a month that it isn't that big a deal.

The weirdest part is that the guy accepts the food and starts to eat it.

It could have been full of the Burger King's poop for all he knew! What a freak!!! ;) :D

I hate the "jingle" of McPlop's the most. Justin Timbercrap must be destroyed for making us hear that awful dren all the time! Rarghhhhhhhh! :gnash: :grumpy:

I pretty much wrote off McD's when they went with the "I'm lovin' it" a couple years back. Seriously, I've had one Egg McMuffin since then. That's about the only thing I eat from there, but most times I'll just make my own at home.

I rarely eat at McYuck's anymore either. The new jingle in the main culprit for that. Bring back Ronald McDonald. The commercial's were a lot better back then, and a whole heck of a lot LESS sterotypical than the current commercials.

Nah, first kill or be killed, then EAT the breakfast sandwich.... I'm hungry enough first thing in the morning without having to kill some fop in a plastic mask

Besides... I don't frell sandwiches... or foodstuffs in general.

Creepy? Or damn effective? This same thread is on nearly EVERY forum I participate on! So, as weirdo potato as that ad may be, we've ALL seen it, we ALL recognize the brand, AND we're ALL talking about it! Seems like a marketer's wetdream.

The McD's ad bothers me because whomever has those chicken nuggets, acts all aggro, and weird, and is yelling at people that ARE NOT EVEN THERE! The person comes off as needing serious medication and anger management!

The BK commercial is weird too, but it is oddly friendly to me.....until the end where it gets all homophobic with the hands on the knees followed by the uncomfortable flinch. Why even go there? I mean, they start the commercial with TWO MEN IN BED TOGETHER. Obviously, the "king" in the relationship was a jerk the night before, flirting and getting phone numbers at the bar, so his SO made him sleep on the couch. Then , the King wants to kiss and makeup, so he offers a meaty sandwich to his boyfriend. I read the flinch (from this perspective) as trying for homophobia, but failing, and actually showing the normal looking guy is NOT appeased with the meat. Kingboy is going to be eating a LOT of crow to make up for his indiscretion.

You know the weirdest of the weirdo commercials to me was the Quizno's mutant hamsterspacemonkeys..........*shudder*....f*kin' freekshow.

I once went to a MCD off of I-95 that had a giant life size moon man in it. He was sitting at a piano and every once in a while he would fire up and start singing. It was pretty un-nerving.
I think the BK dude in bed might be a little creepier--but to be in the same room as that freaky deaky moon man is just too much.

Hardees use to have the best shakes. Peach shakes with bits of peach in them. :D

And I finally saw the fighting chicken commercial. Although I don't find it as creepy as the Burger King, it is vastly stupid. I can only assume their target audience is 9 or 10. I dunno. :eh:

At least we recently got a Subway (albeit more modest - they have no foot-longs :P)

i definitely am not a fan of denny's. anyone been to a waffle house restaurant? my first experience at waffle house was last week. it was strange, and i know why i don't have one in my area...the entire establishment's success depends on the fact that it's a small dingy diner that caters to truckers. we don't get many truckers that stop in my area. it's only at college where they tend to stop for a meal before getting back onto a long stretch of road.

The Burger King vs Ronald McDonald no holds barred in a 15 foot high steel cage, who wins?Well, the "King" has got that plastic head to protect him from punches and blows to the head. It also gives him one heck of a head-butting capability. Ronald has those huge feet for stomping and kicking. I think Ronald would win, cause clowns are just mean, scarey and evil.

I really like that BK commercial. I bust a gut whenever it comes on "and meat.. and cheese...".

I don't eat fast food anymore, not after watching 'supersise me', so it doesn't entice me. I have never been able to eat fast food breakfast food. Egg McMuffins literally make me toss my cookies.

While considered fast food, go for KFC (for the obvious "they sponsored PKW" reason), Popeyes (if you have one in the area), or Arby's! Arby's rocks and all their stuff is a LOT fresher (try the market fresh sandwiches or their new wraps.. those things are HUGE and all the ingredients are fresh!) or go for Subway (made your way, right in front of your face.... but I can't eat there because the processing on the lunch meats doesn't agree with me)
