screw the NHL I have no respect for any of the pro sports anymore. I'd rather eat yellow snow.

That's funny and pathetic at the same time. I'm peeved that these athletes have decided not to play because they aren't getting paid as much as those in some other sports. Well, it's not like a it's a surprise that of the four major pro leagues in North America hockey draws the least number of viewers and has pretty high overhead.

And seriously, I think it's going to be really hard for them to recover after this strike. The last one nearly did in the league.

If the season doesn't start next year... I wouldn't be surprised if the NHL folds.

Anyways, looks like Rob Niedermayer and Jason Strudwick might be coming over to Fredrikstad to play for Stjernen (my hometown team).

It is sad that they had to get here. :( I understand the players don't trust the owners, but have they looked at ticket prices and their TV contract lately? Where do they think more money is going to come from?

Personally we're consoling ourselves with more CCHA hockey. We used to go to a couple games a year, we've been stocking up on a few more tickets though. Of course we could probably buy a season ticket to a college hockey team for what it costs to go to one NHL game. And those boys really love to play :D

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Frozen Four. :)

Hey I saw Cam Neely on Rescue Me's season finale. Maybe they'll all become actors :rolleyes:

Of course Cam was just playing "Mungo" the goon FDNY hockey player, so it wasn't too much of a stretch. ;)
