Hey everyone! Mom just brought me home from the hospital! I just wanted to post a quick update, and then it's off for a nap in MY OWN BED!!!

Well, the cyst was attached to both my left ovary and my uteris, so both had to come out. I still have my right ovary, which means I won't have to go on hormone replacement therapy.

What the doctor removed weighed a total of 19 POUNDS!! Needless to say, I'm feeling a bit lighter ... Seriously, I'm doing pretty well. Physically, I'm recovering quickly and the incision is healing nicely so far. My pain is minimal, and I'm slowly regaining my appetite. Emotionally, I'm doing ok as well. I'd pretty much decided I didn't want kids anyway, so notbeing able to anymore isn't bothering me too much. Plus, having had other problems in the past, at least I don't have to worry about MORE problems in the future.

So ... I'll be online every once in a while, but I'll be spending most of my time sleeping and regaining my strength. A huge THANK YOU to everyone's that's been sending prayers and good thoughts my way--they helped!!!

:hug: I know how much better your own bed feels after a hospital stay. I'm sure it'll help your recovery. This is a great weight (literally and figuratively) off you. Hopefully this help prevent the problems you've had before.

And even if you decide to have kids, there are many wonderful children looking to be adopted.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you are home and sleeping *in your own bed*! (Very important to a swift and sure recovery. :) )

holy mother frell, 19 pounds!! this gives women of every nation hope that their chubbiness is due to a cyst, not due to that big mac.

I had the same surgury a few years ago, takes about a year to fully recover, but it is so worth - you are going to love life in a few months! Hope your recover goes smoothly, stay in bed as long as you can :)
