View Full Version : What happend to Niem? [spoilers for 1.19 & beyond]
I was curious, she seem to me to be scorpies right hand woman, (pardon the expresion, no pun intented or anything), did she die or what.

I don't remember Niem, was she "Peacekeeper Barbie"? I assume she died when they blew up the Gammak base.
Yeah she was barbie.
I don't really like assumptions, but I was just curious, tis all.

maybe she got re-assigned to somewhere else. The peacekeepers seem to do that alot, like Gillina got re-assigned to the base, maybe Neim got re-assigned off the base.
i know i'm repeating my self but my brain's got stuck, bt still wants to post!! :D

I'm betting the writers decided that Braca would've made a better right hand man for Scorpy so they wrote her out. I think she was killed somewhere along the line. I'm not sure when. Wasn't she standing by Scorpy and his cooling rod was so hot that it blew as she was changing it and scorged her face?

wasn't that his medtech/nurse in season 2? i don't think we saw Neim after the Gammak base.

Niem was the redhead in Nerve/Hidden Memory that operated the Aurora Chair. I don't think she was killed during the destruction of the Gammak base. Scorpy was on the Command Carrier at the time (had been from Bone to be Wild) and presumably Niem would have been with him. Scorpy had several different med tech/number one assistants throughout the series - almost like they were interchangeable. The only character that stayed with Scorpy throughout was Braca. And even he changed Scorpy's cooling rods - at least once.

In "Bone to be Wild," Scorpius asks Crais what happened to the "Security Officer" he had assignd t watch M'Lee. Might that have been Niem? I think we can figure out what happened and that would be a shame. Nah, I don't think Niem was the security type...
I bet Braca decided that he should "replace" her.

Well Scorpys cooling rod was incredibly hot and was about to blow up so of course Braca had to take it out because the nurse is unconcious (i think can really remember that scence to well) and he had to burn his hands taking it out

Remember the episode where John, D'Argo, Zhan crash on the planet full of plants but no animals? Remember how there weren't any animals because there was the alien that only ate bones? At the end of the Episode Scorpy takes her in. Then, in the next episode Scorpy says to Braca "Have you seen my assistant?" I always thought Scorpy's assistant got eaten by that alien.

Actually the line was:
SCORPIUS: Have you found my security officer assigned to watch her?
So... not Niem - unless she was the security officer. But I am quite sure that you are correct of this individuals fate and that M'Lee had managed to get her daily recommended allowance of calcium. ;)

No kidding. I thought you were right and had to double check to be sure. And it could still be Niem... if her designation was security officer. Although she seemed more a supervisory type, rather than a guard. ;)

She might have been reassigned. Or they switched them up in shifts. In the end it seems as though Braca was the "perfect peacekeeper" and would do anything as to following orders. Scorpy probably grew to trust him (I know if I was a PK I wouldn't trust anyone) and set him as the lapdog of sorts.

I thought she appeared in later eppys like the one where Scorpy injects the chip into his brain so he can interigate the Crichton clone..?(in season 4)
i didn't see her agian in season one at all.(she coulda redyed her hair lol)

No, that was a different PK Barbie, it you're thinking about the blue-haired chinese looking one, then she was a PK nurse, I think. It was the S3 ep Incubation.

Imogen Annesley - the actress who played Niem - was only in two Farscape episodes, "Nerve" and "A Hidden Memory".
Scorpy had several underling/nurses through the series - but they weren't Niem.
