my car was robbed last night. the passenger side window smashed in, the face plate to my cd player gone, my cell phone gone. they caught 2 of the 3 kids responsible. apparently they had also hit several other cars that night in the area, i live near a college campus (agustana college). how old were these kids? they were 15 year old white middle class america girls. not the stereotypical carjacking/robbing hardened criminals yould think to find in a situation like this if you were to trust that tv only shows you the truth.

the truth as far as the stereotype goes, there is no stereotype. everyone is capable of committing crimes. wether youre red, yellow, orange or grey, short, tall, thin, fat, poor, rich, whatever. wether youre name is smith, yusef, shahwana, or dr. melvin goldstein. we're all capable of it. its just sad to see that young kids not even old enough to drive are breaking into peoples cars and stealing stuff from them. where are their parents?

and where is my cell phone. all my phone numbers where in there, i dont remember most of the numbers, hence i hadthem in the phone. AHHHH.

on a brighter note, i was short on needed material for the next amature night at the comedy club, so i must say thank you powerpuff girls, your crime as given me something to maddenly funny to talk to about.

i live near a college campus (agustana college).

That wouldn't happen to be in SD? Anyways, not that it really matters, but if so that's only 45min or so away from me. I live on a college campus, and some of the parking lots are natoriouse for vandalisim happening to cars. *NOCK ON WOOD* Nothing's ever happened to my car (watch, now something will), but that really sucks about what happened to you. I think it's cool though that you're looking on the brighter side and having a positive outlook on the situation.

i'm glad to be at college where i am, where we aren't the ones perpetrating the crime. though a few weeks ago, two of our students were held at gunpoint, beaten and robbed. they're both okay. i think the story goes (this is a reliable source telling me this) that they were with their girlfriends and these two guys kept staring at the girls. the guys said something to them, and that is what ensued.

over the summer my boyfriend's car was broken down and was at his workplace for a few days before they could tow it to the garage. it got broken into in the middle of the night and all the thieves took was his bible and a few CD's, completely missing the 400 dollar CD changer newly installed into his car.

My car was broken into once in the lot where I lived. Seemed odd that all the cars there were broken into except one. That one belonging to a new tenant and her boyfriend. Hmmmmmmm......

Sorry that this happened to you and I really hope they can get your phone back. You phone company should have your model number and info on file and they should be able to trace it somehow if its used.

Don't be so foolish. :irked:

People are busy when they've just moved. After breaking into yours and all the other cars, what would they waste time breaking into their OWN car for?

You unsympathetic TROLL! Is THIS the attitude you have when new creeple move into the neighborhood? :P

Too bad the police couldn't have checked up on that couple, but they would not have had probable cause. :(

My boyfriend's old jeep was broken into several times. The first time they broke the back windshield, stole his box speakers, stereo, and a bunch of cd's. The second time it happened he was being stupid and left his doors unlocked. Somebody just opened the door and took the *new* stereo and cd's. He's hardly got any cd's left now... but he does lock his doors :D

Both of those incedents happened at college. I even had a friend who's car was broken into right outside the campus police department. Sure made me feel safe that they were there!

an update, i talked to the cops today. they have my face plate in custody, yes i said my face plate is in custody, they need it for evidence, so still i drive in silence, well, except the ever present sound of the road going by since i now have clear plastic fabric of some sort my parents got for me from a fabric store that is ducked taped over where my window use to be untill i can get a new window.

my cell phone, well, as it turns out it was 2 year old girls and a young guy, not sure his age, but he had my phone in his pocket when he ran from the cops and so ofcourse it fell out of his pocket as he ran and he's not sure where. so i drew a picture of it and gave to the cops, its pretty simple, dark blue with a tiny decepticon symbol on the front and large one on the back of the phone. my poor phone. lost, alone, somewhere out there. now if i knew where they caught him, and where he ran, i would go check for myself where it was. probly means a long walk tomorrow if its not raining throught the park i live next to cause i figure its in there somewhere.

they got them on 6 counts of robbery for all the cars they robbed. so theyre going away for a long time. people need to just stop committing crimes around me i swear. commit a crime near me, and youre going to jail period, its just the way it works. last year, i witnessed a hit and run, and chased down the runners car, got the license plate number and drove back to the victims car and gave it to him and pointed the woman out in court for the prosecution. then, earlier this year, witnessed a guy wipe out on a bike and then try to run form the cops cause he was drunk, had not a license to drive a motorcycle, and it wasnt even his, it was his friends, or so he said. turned him into the police who were doing a neighborhood search and the guy decided incorrectly that my friends and i would hide him, nope nope nope. whats great is then we all almost had to be witnesses cause he was was gonna plead innocent, and then just a day before the case he plead guilty, he must of realized that a bunch of witnesses against him wasnt good.

and now this, they got caught cause my landlord heard them smash my window. ironic. frelling ironic. im practically a super hero. all i need is a cape.
