....and the Illanics for that matter. Back and Back to the Future seems to set this up as a major story arc for the future of the series, and yet we haven't heard a thing about it since! If there's such a major war happening and the Luxans are involved, don't you think we would have heard about it somewhow? And how come we haven't seen a single Illanic since this episode? When Grayza is having that meeting with the luxans late season 3 (I think Into the Lion's Den), don't you think the Illanics should be present too?

maybe it sent both of them back into there own war and neither really has time for much else, since the Scovian's and Illanic's black hole thing was destroyed.
As to the peace treaty thing, well i don't think the Luxans would want the Illanics knowing they were meeting with the Peacekeeper, because no one likes the Peacekeeper and the Luxans may have been desparate. The Luxans are a very proud species so they probably see it as a weekness to go to the Peacekeepers.

Meh, a lot of Season 1 was just playing around trying to find something good, anything that wasn't deemed good, they didn't come back to.

Orson Scott Card said that the greatest thing a writer could do was to make sure to leave things open, that way you could come back later on and fill in the gaps and build on the story.

I always thought the Ill/Scor was meant to add a little backdrop to Farscape (Introduce Races, Conflicts, and charachter development) while giving them a hole to work with on later eps if need be.

i suppose if the writers ever got stuck for ideas (god forbid) they could always fall back on thet war for the plotline

Its good that the Farscape iniverse has a lot of lose ends and unrealized ideas... much cooler to play around in!
Look at Starwars...its so popular cos its easy to make a new rpg senario or book or computer game out of the first movies still today!
I think the same thing aplies to Farscape . Thats why it will NEVER DIE! :)

I often wondered about this myself.

Crichton, our main character, had OTHER things to deal with than getting involved in yet another war. I suppose if the illanics, scorvian, or nebari knew that john had some way to control wormholes we would have been able to see them...
luckily he only had scorpie...scarrens...and peacekeepers to deal with.
I think it would have been overkill to have poor crichton deal with every war in the entire farscape universe.
but I would have loved to have seen some scorvian/illanic battlecruisers and fighters and such...
not to mention nebari. I would have gotten a kick out of seeing one of there standard attack vessels.
peace

Interesting, the Scovians may not affect Crichton, but they'd affect D'argo.

D'Argo at the time was more focused on finding his son than anything else. If he had the chance to return to his homeworld and be exonerated, he would've gotten involved my guess. Since John's the main character, he was still getting used to being away from home.
