DRD2001, a *second* FedEx guy dropped yours off a little while ago.
It's funny ... neither FedEx guy was in a FedEx truck. The first one was in a plain white SUV, and the second one was in a plain white van. I guess they've leased extra vehicles because of the exctra holiday deliveries.

Bloody hell, got my package in return today!!! It looked like it had been attacked by polar bears! Crap!
Seems the parcel made it to NY and was returned from there.
Well, for those of you who was waiting for some norwegian chocolate from me I can only say that I'm very sorry...

MotorWerk - NY Polar Bears are a viscious lot when it comes to chocolate. You're lucky you got back the pieces that you did.
BTW - I accept chocolate anytime of the year. Even smashed chocolate! I do have my priorities you know.... ;)

Nah, if you'd sent it UPS, you would never have gotten any of the chocolate back. Just ask Kurt!! Don't worry about it. Like the others said, it's not too soon to start thinking about Valentine's Day! :D

ok, question: I read that if you want your package to arrive by christmas you were supposed to send it out today. so.... what's the best way to mail this thing?

12-15-2004, 09:09 PM
Well, I sent mine priority express from the post office, and they had a nice little box for me to put it in and everything. It took two days for it to travel half the way across the US, so I was pretty impressed. To send just cards, it cost me about $3.50.
By the way, for those of you that get the cards with red paint splattered on them, it's not blood. I promise :D However, for those of you that got the ones spattered with green... well let's just say, does anybody have any good ideas for getting rid of a dead Romulan?

Sorry, that reminds me of when I was in Basic Training at Christmas :) My sister let my neice (who was about 2 years old at the time) decorate Christmas cookies to send to my platoon. She went NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTS with the frosting :D Those things were almost an 8th of an inch thick with frosting... talk about your sugar rushes :freak: I was the most popular guy in my platoon for a while because of those cookies :D

eta, I'm not going to be able to mail everything so that it arrives by Christmas. There are still a few packages I haven't received yet. I suggest Priority mail--it's pretty cheap, and pretty quick.

Hi everyone...
I wanted to apologize. Someone close to me died this week, and I completely forgot to send the cards out. I am hitting the road shortly (400 miles to NY) to pay my respects, then see the family for the holidays, so I can't spare the time and the postage right now.
I am very sorry -- I know how much you all look forward to this, because I do! In your honor, I will go to a community tree in NY and donate for a dove/ornament for charity in the name of Scapers. It's the least I can do.
I'll try to make it up on the next Valentine's Day exchange. We are doing one, right? ;-D
Have happy and healthy holidays, everyone, and a peaceful and prosperous new year.
Love, Jackie G/uisceboo

Now, to start planning Valentines.
Boy, you sure got that right! Let's see, Valentine's is 55 days away. ACK! Less than 2 months!
Considering that I'm a dedicated slacker, if I start now... hmmmmm... I should have them in the mail by Wednesday, February 9th. If I push myself that is... :) Feb 14th lands on a Monday, so attention will have to be paid leading up to that last week. Yep. Better get busy now...

If kech is going to coordinate Valentines again, you'll probably need to get them in the mail before the 9th, so she can send them out on time. I'm aiming for Feb. 1st. By then we should know who is on the list. I already sent some layouts to my husband to see what I could do.

Well, the packages are officially on their way! International Scapers, yours went out Global Priority. US Scapers, you stuff went Parcel Post. I was gonna spring for Priority Mail, but it would've been about $15-$20 more, total, and I just couldn't afford it.
So, how many of you are really serious about doing Valentines again? I guess I've been elected to run things again--not that I mind! :D However, if we do it, I'm gonna have to ask that everyone chip in a couple of bucks to help with shipping.

I hope you just mailed the the cards and not your cold germs... http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-002.gif Yikes! I hope you have a complete recovery. I say "complete" because most of the time when we start to feeling better, we still haven't recovered from it all of the way. So if you're taking any antibiotics, take them until they're all gone.
I'm in for the Valentine's mailing again. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/liebe/love-smiley-041.gif It was lots of fun last year and I'd be more than happy to pitch in some $$$ for my postage this time around.
YaY! More Christmas stuff coming in the mail! :bounce:
