In making my Christmas card list, I found myself wanting to send cards to everyone here. But since that can't be done, I hope this can suffice. ;)
During the past two years, I've had the honor and the privilege of becoming a part of a larger family than I've ever known. I've been blessed with bonds beyond measure by people that I've never even met face to face. I've seen generosity, love, forgiveness, understanding and yes, some battles. (Though those battles were still fought with a generous measure of love and respect.) I watched you all welcome my son into the world and into this crazy family. :) I found myself surrounded by your love and prayers as he suffered a potentially life threatening illness and I watched as you all shared your joy at his healthy recovery. You've held my hand. You've prayed with me. You've laughed with me. You've given me more than you'll ever know.
This year, as my family and I celebrate the holiday season, I want to let you all know that we consider you a part of our family. We appreciate all of you. Not only for what you've done, but who you are. Thank you. Thank you for all of it.
So from me and mine, to all of you out there. With much love and hope for lots of peace in the coming year...
