I finally have wireless DSL! I had dial-up for the longest time. I can now talk on the phone while my computer is linked to the internet. *magic* Also, things get downloaded in a reasonable amount of time. I know I was the last person on earth to upgrade. Can't say much for earthlink customer support though. (actual call) "Our modem doesn't support wireless. Don't you see the cord!?"
- "Yes, but what if I connect it to a wireless router? "
"those don't exist."

(at this point I hung up)

Well, they do exist, and more importantly, now I don't have a cord across my livingroom.

:woohoo:

once you have gone high speed, there is no going back to dialup. You get spoiled rather easily with the speed.

once you go fast you never go back. it's the truth! i love my wireless cable! my parents are big fans too. they are so used to it that they've become little elitists. my mom won't use my aunt's computer when she's at her house, because it's dial up.

make sure you have a couple condoms on your computer (ie. firewalls) as wireless is very open to viruses and the like

I'm hoping that DSL will be available where I live soon, but the rumors have been going on for months now and still can't get it. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've been high speed for some time now, about 6 years and my wife keeps asking if we really need it, I then hook her up to netzero or earthlink for a free trial, and she remembers immediately what the extra money paid for.

I'm happy for you Frellster, it's a completely different experience.

crack isn't addictive until you try it. it's the same with high speed internet! and chocolate.
