Dickens' "A Christmas Carrol" has been done a million times by almost everyone - especially if you count movies that use the theme, like Bill Murray's "Scrooged". I think even Kelsey Crammer did a version this year (horrors).

So what's your favorite version?

TNT ran the version by Patrick Stewart a few nights ago, and I like that one. Of course, I'd watch Patrick Stewart read from the phone book.

But my all time favorite version is the cartoon one by Mister Magoo. Cartoon Network ran that one the night after the Stewart version. I was amazed at how much of the story was accurately contained in the cartoon.

One day I'm gonna read the origninal.......

Scrooge with Albert Finney -- the songs are memorable and the Ghost of Christmas Future scared the holy dren out of me when I was a kid!

The Albert Finney version is my favorite. I love the songs and he just nails that part.

Like DRD I really enjoy the Muppet version. What can I say, I'm a muppet lover. And what can I say, they had a Jacob and Robert (Bob) Marley. :lol

BTW, it made the list of 10 best Christmas movies back in 98. ;)
