LOTR:ROTK EE and a whole mess of new Christmas music and movies. I kind of just get stuff when I want it. I suppose you could say I got myself a new TV and DVD player for the bedroom. A nice 20" plasma that looks much better than the puny 13" we had. I can actually make stuff out without my glasses on. :D

I play a little bit, but I'm more or less still learning.
I was going to buy a BC Rich Warlok Today, but I saw the Randy Rhoads hanging on the wall. Only $300! Its usually an $800 guitar. So, I played around on it, then bought it. Sounds great, even through my crappy Amp.

We have a tradition in my family. Every year, my father nags me for a list of what I want. NAGS! Every year, I tell him anything is fine. Wrong! He must have a list! So I give him a list. I choose easy to get stuff and chain stores (like Hallmark ornaments where you just walk in the store and say "I want this ornament"). Every year, my father gets me NOTHING on my list. Instead he gives me salmon. So every year, I give myself the Hallmark ornaments that he never buys me. It is a weird system, but it works. :)
edited to add: I'll also be getting myself HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban, cause I asked him to get me that DVD too.

Hallmark ornaments are the one thing I will go out on the 26th for. I have a couple series that I collect that I will get ahead of time and then the other cute stuff I go back for when it's on sale. ;) I should find out what time the local Hallmark will open on the 26th.

Every year, my father gets me NOTHING on my list.
My mother did that too for the longest time. One year I asked for a drum set and she got me a skate board.
Evidently she figured she'd rather take me to the ER than put cotton in her ears. :D
So as I got older, I just started asking for money.

Owlman, the most important thing to know is B, C, and D chords. With them, you can fake just about anything. Learn tab, and you'll pick up a lot in a short time. The most rewarding piece I found to play was 'Dee' by Randy Rhoades.
Both my accoustic and electric are Yamaha. I haven't pulled one out in a long time, but I still get the urge to do so once in awhile. Seeing that flying V, I'm tempted.
I've played accoustic, 6-string, 12-string, semi-accoustic, and bass. That semi was fun and had a good sound, but I got the most out of my accoustic. (I played it just before my college graduation.)

Owlman, that randy rhoades looks awesome. I've got an Ibanez acoustic/electric and a RG220 electric. I want a 12-string in the future. How heavy is the Jackson? My Ibanez is pretty light, Tried a Hamer, played well but was too heavy to play sitting down.

We got LOTR:ROTK EE and we're gonna do our damndest to get ourselves (the hubby and me) a new washing machine and dryer. Our "old ones" died about a month ago, and we've been saving so that we can hopefully afford them!! *Keeping fingers crossed*

The front end is suprisingly heavy! Especially since I had been using my girl's Fender for a while.
The sound is intense, and clean. I haven't tried it on distortion yet.
I was thinking of getting the Mick Thompson custom Warlock (his new Ibanez looks good too) or a Washburn, particularlly a Dimebag model or the WV80G, but I just couldn't pass up such a great deal on my dream guitar.
I know a crapload of notes, and a few partial songs.
I've also got an acustic Yamaha that is two years younger than I am.

Nice guitar, Owlman. :aok: I'll be (finally) buying myself a guitar as well. I know the owner of Route101 Guitars (currently suspended operations). I'm hoping to track him down so that I can buy one of his guitars (he still has quite a few in storage in various stages of development). He's supposed to be back from Australia by now. Can't wait to finally get one and learn to play. :D

What did I get myself? Well, personally, myself would like to know, but I threatened to beat myself senseless if he didn't wait till Christmas, ass that I am!... :D lame I know, but that's my story...till I can catalogue what Santa "missed" or "overlooked" from my Wish List and dutifully proceed to "fill" in the blanks ;) :D

Every year, my father gets me NOTHING on my list.
Well my mum does the EXACT same thing, it drives me insane! I love getting DVD's so I wrote down a list of the ones I wouldnt mind getting, and she keeps on telling me that she can't find them anywhere, and I keep on having to tell her that she can ORDER them in...its like she doesnt believe in ordering things...it drives me crazy! So I figured If I want some of my dvd's for Chrissie, I may aswell just get them myself.
So I went and ordered the Stargate Season 2 Boxset, as my Xmas pressie :D

Owlman, is that RR3 or RR5? I was thinking about buying one of those too, but then I chose this: http://www.leadguitars.fr/Bancs%20d'essai/beibageEDR470EX.htm

Wasn't the duct tape guitar that Offspring dudes signature model? It really is covered with REAL duct tape,it must have very personal sound :)
And Owlman, that price for your guitar is incredible!!!

CJ Pierce of Drowning Pool used the Diamond Plate Washburn and it sounded great live! (of course what do you expect from a student of Dimebag?)
