View Full Version : Where's Canada (eh) ?

Read this in an article on Timesunion.com, the Albany, NY daily newpaper:

"When Northeast signed that contract, it specified that the work could be done only in North America and Canada. It did so, said Information Services Manager Chris Baldwin, after doing a brief trial with a firm that uses workers in India."

Kurt--you guys form you're own continent up there?

I was talking to a woman from Denmark and asked her what they thought of Americans. She told me that we have absolutley no concept of geography, but we sure are cute--maybe she meant I was cute...
(j/k of course about that cute comment ;) )

Restaurants serve vinegar with French fries.

That is my favorite thing about Canada. I went to McDonald's like fifty times while I was in Toronto - just for fries and their cute little vinegar packets.

Oh, and being a Michiganian I don't need the guide to Canada, but I clicked anyway :D

I've seen them live too. Amazing performers!

Actually, I remember the "yellow tape" when it first came out. One of my chums heard about them and insisted we go to the local HIV (oops, I mean HMV). He was kinda embarased, asking for the tape, but they had it and he got a copy.

Great demo ep! Most of it ended up on "Gordon" (except "Lovers in a Dangerous Time")...

Now that I think of it, the only performer on the list I haven't seen before is Bruce Cockburn.

When I was little, I used to believe that if you went to a McDonald's in Canada that the hamburgers were made out of Moose meat. Similarily, I used to believe that McDonald's hamburgers in South Dakota were made out of buffalo. I now know the truth.

trinamick

But if you order a hamburger in a regular restaurant in SD, some places will give you buffalo unless you specify otherwise. I learned that the hard way.

French fries and gravy isn't bad... it is the cheese curds and gravy that... well, words fail.
