I'm trying to find specific words in Chinese and can't seem to find them. Is there anyone on this board who can help me????

Here's what I need translated:

A Marshall arts school (Japanese equivalent is "Dojo" -- would that work for Chinese too?)

Marshall arts master (Japanese = "Sensei" -- again - will that work?)

I know much more about Japanese culture than Chinese. But what I need these for are Chinese specific. Cantonese or Mandarin – makes no difference.

ok, I asked a friend of mine who is Chinese how to say your phrases. She said that they are pretty general, that in China they would have a specific name for each particular style of martial arts. This is what she came up with:

martial arts school: wu-xu "marital arts" xue xao "school" (wu shu xue shao)

martial arts master: wu-xu da-xi "master" (wu shu da shi)

Hope that helps. I've been trying to pronounce them, but it's really hard :) You have to form your mouth different to get it to come out right.
