Dear Scapers,
First off I wanna apologize for how I acted last night...mostly to Browderchick, I wasn't making fun of you sweetie. I wasn't myself last night, I don't know if it was the full moon or maybe some bad mushrooms in my pizza. The point is, I don't want you guys to get the wrong impression of me...I probably should not have acted so crazy beacuse I still am a newbie (I'll explain later), but I just couldn't help it, you guys are so great and it's easy to talk and have fun with you all.
I once had the same thing that you guys have here, it was acually more than 5 years ago...remember that thread I made about the TV theme songs and I was talking about how much I was involved with a rock band? well we were very close there, even the band mates talked with us...there wasn't nearly as many people as there is here, I think about 30 members but only about 10 of us acually posted all the time.
The drummer was great! he always kept us informed in very high detail about things going on with them. I was in charge of reviewing their music before it was even done as well as a few other things...that was a real thrill for me, at one point he even offered me a job as a roadie, as much as I wanted to do this with all my heart I had to say no. I just couldn't do it, I couldn't leave my home and family, not to mention my animals. He wasn't upset with me, in fact was glad to hear that I cared so deeply for my family because he never had one...except for his fans.
I continued promoting the band as much as I could here. Anyways, about a year later something bad happend I don't know what even to this day, and everything fell apart...he just put up one last message that basically said "we're dropped" and that was the end...
I have never heard from any members of the band or my online buddies since then. Their site was taken down, it's like they didn't even exist, it never happend...it was so sad, I thought they were my friends and then they just bailed on me/us. I can't even talk to my online buddies because their email addresses were on the site and I never wrote them down.
I took me quite awhile to even goto another message board again, but when I did all I found was crap. Mostly everyone was fighting, or the board was crap, just wouldn't work half the time...I said to myself this is stupid, I'll never find this magic again so I gave it up.
years pass...
Then just out the blue, I was checking out the Farscape site for any updates and found my way to "Frell Me Dead" I was amazed at how cool looking this place looked, it's definitely THE best looking board I have ever seen...and beleive me, I've seen ALOT of them. What there's like 6 thousand plus members here and everyone is so nice and cool, I couldn't help myself so I had to jump in,
What I am trying to say is that...oh frell it, I love you guys, there I said it. I have never thought in my wildest dreams that I could find a place where I felt so welcome as I once had. This is even better than what I had. So I just wanted to say, thank you for having me here...but I will try harder not to jump in like I've been here for years, I am just not used to being the one that just joined...but by all means, please tell me to stop if anything like that
does happen again.
