Los Angeles - Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., who became a legal superstar after helping clear O.J. Simpson during a sensational murder trial in which he uttered the famous quote “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit,” died Tuesday. He was 67.

Cochran died of a brain tumor at his home in Los Angeles, his family said.

oh i know. i'm thinking that if i make it to judge on the supreme court i'm going to start every session with a lawyer joke.

I'm friends with 6 lawyers... I mock them all I want :D I send them every lawyer joke I come across... warned every one of them when they were in law school I was going to do it, too :D

Well, no matter what you may think of the verdict, he did a hell of a job and earned every cent of his pay! RIP :(
