I'm of the understanding that this one is the big pay-off (the mega battles people have been rooting for and the change-over of Anakin to Vader), so I'm betting it's going to kick eema :aok:
Wayne is a bonus ;)
Besides, all 3 had Samuel L Jackson in them... worth seeing!

I really hope it's good...the preview looked pretty good...but I'm fairly certain it will suck, as all the new ones have. :(

I long ago decided that if I look at it as though I was still 12, everything would be cool, and that works for me... Yeah I wish george would back off, hire a script writer and let someone else direct {empire KICKS. A$$. for that reason} but it didn't happen, so I'm not going to let that get in the way of enjoying it...

AFD you said it! :aok:
People forget it's a "fairy story" and that it has to be viewed through the eyes of a child. They only suck if you try to analyze them. Ask any 8 - 10 - 12 year old and they'll tell you Star Wars rocks.

Yeah.. they are kiddie movies but people of all ages can enjoy them aswell.
Even if Ep.III gets a Pg 13 it wont be as hard as...for example some eps of Farscape. But looking thru the eyes of the kid it will kick mivocs im sure!

I think the major problem is that yes, people want to overanalyse... but they also want to compare them to the what everyone thinks of as the original trilogy, which they aren't... they're the story leading UP to that point. See them on their own merits and not to say "Well, compared to the originals, these will/do suck!" If that's the case, all you're doing is plunking your money down on a movie that you're going to hate before you sit down in the theater and in the end, the franchise could care less because you paid to see it ;)
Just throwing that out there...

Hated the last two, not NEARLY as good as the originals :D :ppbb: , but this one looks like it has promise!

Well, I'm sure the action and effects will be great. I'm just worried about the acting being stale.
So, I'll be happy enough going just to see the end of the story, and great fights.....
Oh, and to hope Jar Jar gets blown up or something

I had waited 2 decades to see Yoda wield a light saber .... it was worth it! :aok:
Funny you should say that about Jar-Jar .... my 35 year old son wants to inflict grevious bodily harm on him. :boom:

The nephews, nieces, and other small fry will insist on seeing it, so I guess I will as well- and I'll try not to doze off like I did in Episode 1 (in spite of Jar-Jar's irritating voice and tacky accent). If Yoda gets to kick some more eema, I guess that'll wake me up.
On the other hand, if this was a poll about Serenity...

I'll watch the parts with Wayne, then some parts with Ian McDiarmind before he gets too corny, and maybe some of the snow battle.

no... you think? :D
dunno, for this one I may screen it before letting the 10yr old see it... cuz I've heard [and seen a few stills] that it is quite nasty, we shall see.

When the second one came out, I saw someone on TV talking about it and saying "If they REALLY want to pack people in for Ep III, make sure Jar Jar dies horribly! Then you'll REALLY have a packed theater!!" :D

I won't have enough money to go see it on the big-screen, but I voted "cool" because ALL my friends loved it. It's already sparked heated discussions between us on stuff like on the differences between relative vs universal moralities. :)

Ewan MacGregor did an amazing job!!
Sir Alec Guinness (the original Obi Wan,
for those who don't know) would have been proud.
'Sith is a good movie, lots action, well paced, ties up a few
loose ends... Not bad at all.

it seems as if ewan can't escape the scifi genre! his next movie is with scarlet johanssen, called The Island. it's about genetic engineering.
you better believe he can keep your attention! i've been following his career since the mid to late 90's, in trainspotting. i was 12 when the movie came out and i saw it when i was 15, in 1999. yeah, that movie stuck in the mind of a 15 year old who was NOT prepared for ewan's infamous flop on the bed.
thank goodness it wasn't a close up.
the only good part of episode I was really ewan mcgregor. everything else just sucked. i really wished obi-wan would just kill jar jar.

It was a pretty good movie, but there were a few things that didn't connect, and a lot of plot points that weren't developed as much as I had hoped. The action was good, I just thought it replaced a little too much of everything else that was going on. All in all though, it was a lot better than I and II, well worth the time.
