Well, I ordered now a crais action figure. It really went time just to cange money to right currency. In the morning it was raining so I had to wait. But atleast I did get my day's work done. Now it's posted and I hope I did everything right. It was over half cheaper than I taught, I can't count currency or then I was thinking in puonds.
Yesterday I found my self sitting on a guineapig cage(it's real big and heavy) writing my fanfic. There went over an hour.
And FMD is haunting me in my drems.
Now tell me when my weird stories of my real life is getting too wierd and boring, but I don't got many friends...

No, Milaya, it is interesting to know what goes on with you.
I spend too much time on the FMD site, having fun with everyone.
It is sunny here (Chicago, Illinois, USA) today, blue sky, cool, nice outside.
I am just at work. I scan maps & aerial photos into a computer and do
research on different property. The company I work for does environmental
investigation, looking for chemical spills, trash, anything that needs to be cleaned
up on a particular piece of property. Then we write up a report and send it
to the property owner. They usually can't sell property or get a bank loan
until they clean up whatever mess there might be. So, we are making the
world a better place. (Isn't that part of the 'unwritten' Scaper code [of conduct]?)

I see nothing wrong with letting your creative side free using Farscape as a conduit. Sad are the people who either have no capacity for imagination or feel the need to squash those who want to soar. Keep up the good work. Perhaps someday instead if fanfic you might write in a professional capacity, perhaps not. The important thing is to be able to express your thoughts..share them with those who will understand, and enjoy the community. This particular corner of fandom ( 'Scapers ) is warm and fuzzy so you probably will meet many people with whom you can share your thoughts. Never let those 'outside' make you feel the need to justify your time , energy and yes, money, on fannish pursuits. Tell them you won't make fun of the time and money they spend on sports or music or_____fill in the blanks and you would rather they keep their negativity to themselves :)

Nope, we're in the same boat. Since 2003 I've been a lurker barely posting with all the fellow addicts. I'm proud to admit I'm a Farscape addict. I could never go to the conventions because I was too young. Now at 19, I have the opportunity to meet Scapers in my area, and possibly go to ScaperCon this year. I created a Scarran costume for Halloween of '04 :D . Now I'm moving onto probably joining the 501st and I've gone into a posting frenzy and posted 50 in a week.

What do you mean takes up all your time ... why I've barely been on line over the last few years .... :spew: :roflmao: .... NOT! Just check out my post count
If you've got to have a compulsion this is about as good as it gets and I'll tell you what we've been on some roller-coaster highs without any of the hard stuff! :lol We've laughed, we've cried :cry2: and we've mourned together on this board. We've seen people lose their jobs, :bigwave: and we've seen people go though chemo and surgery and have babies and get married ... we're a family and even though we've never laid eyes on each other (for the most part) we've been here for each other. I can't think of anything out there that has drawn so many people together and made them as close, :hugz: in such short a time, and had them achieve the common goals that we've set so effectively.
But then it's really quite simple ... we're Scapers!

If you're going to be an addict, you might as well do it in the company of others just like you. It's way more fun that way. You don't have to apologize for anything, everyone understands you and you don't have to feel all alone!

You know Milaya.... buying a Crais action figure is not as dangerous as trying for two hours to get his hands to hold on to the frelling speer it came with so he can pretend to kill John for pictures :D

Or taking your Aeryn action figure with you to Dollywood so you can take pictures of her all over the park. Just so you can put it on the website and show where you and Aeryn have been.
I am shaking my head. Yes, I did that.

I think I can top that..... I took Harmy Bear (a fuzzy, 28 inch brown cuddly bear in dress whites :) ) on 6 week cross-US trip from New York City to Waikiki and each military person I saw had to hold him and take a picture with him.... He even spread flowers over the water in Pearl Harbor..... talk about being insane :D

I planned to my silk glows and a big drooling basket. How can I ever touch my little crais when I have my wild imagination?I think there won't be long until I have him here. He's already shipped. Can't wait, I'm climbing on the walls.
Also, I never expected my English could ever been so good anyone really understands me.But you do!!!Thank you my dear Scapers!!

You've got friends here. And don't worry too much about your english. I know people who can't do it even though it's their first language.

No really.I can speak all three at the same time without mixing.I remember when my friend heard me first time speaking Swedish, she couldn't believe that no-one can change languages like me.But I must allways think what I'm saying.I should speak more Swedish since it my first, but usually when I go to shops I start to speak Finnish.I wish I could speak more English.

But, what a SUPER way to go, Milaya! Truthfully, I would LOVE to own each and every single FARSCAPE action figure! I have every single FARSCAPE episode recorded on VHS, plus every DVD, plus I plan to procure every Starbust Edition! I spend much time here and at KANSAS and at the Dom! I'm right there with you, and thinking again about getting action figures... They must be delightful to look at and lovely to hold!

Ebay would be one good place to start. Occassionally you will also find dealers at scifi cons with some figures left. But Ebay is usually cheaper :)

I'm too bored, can't even write my fanfic. And it seem a thunderstorm is coming this way so soon I think I must close this computer. And can't watch tv.Funny time they're showing farscape here in Finland:2am.It would be interesting watch tv tonight, there's many of my favorite show's but in the middle there's late night with conan o'brien and I really hate that show. When it's on tv I start to sleep, can't help it.And I know that my brother gets really pissed if I put all my soud efects on in the middle of the night...

Speaking of action figures ... I still think that the absolute best action figure adventure was the one done in 2002 when everyone was off at the Burbank Con and those of us that stayed behind were treated to the Action Figure Awards ... it was John and Aeryn and Barbie and a host of other action figures that went to the awards - can't remember which ones they were but it was hilarious. There was even a scene where Barbie was running down one of the (competing) action figures on the red carpet in Ken's convertible.

I went to ebay and got me some action figures. One set of loose ones, John, Chiana, D'Argo and Zaan.....just to play with.. And another set of ones still in the packaging. I didn't have to pay as much as I thought I would. Can't wait 'til they come....Thanks for the idea.. :joy:

Milaya, I respect people who speak more than one language. I grew up with a friend whose family was from Germany. His father spoke 5 languages!!
I know a smattering of Spanish, and I can read German OK, but I can't speak it. I don't even speak good English....
