Earlier, I posted a message on here about developing an academic book on Farscape. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have found a UK publisher, and that the book is now in development to be released in mid-2006. At the moment, the title is: "Uncovering Moya: Critically Reading 'Farscape,'" and it will have seven chapters focusing on different issues within the show--politics, bodies, gender, sexuality, race, etc.

I'd love to have fan input, so if you have any suggestions, comments, or just want to hear more about the book, email me (Jes) at:

jbattis@fastmail.fm

I will be updating my website with more info on the book soon. The website address is:

www.sfu.ca/~jbattis

Hope to hear from y'all

Definately sounds interesting and like something I'd pick up, though being a text book will it have that high text-book cost? ;) Or maybe that's just a problem over here, I'm not sure.

Excellent! Well done jbattis! I'll look forward to seeing this on shelves and perhaps buying a copy.

By the way, have you managed to get Henson's endorsement, or is it 100% unofficial?

jbattis - maybe it'd be worth checking out the Farscape Online Encyclopedia at www.farscape-1.com if you've got any probs, but it sounds like you've done fine.

Thanks everyone--I fixed the spelling of Tralk and also the Moya Script (I'd spelled 'uncovering' wrong) Apparently, I study English but I can't spell. :o)

Have fun, and make sure to keep us updated. More Farscape, in any shape or form, is a good thing and this sounds like a book which will make us think and want to re-watch the show so we can share your insights into how and why Farscape is what it is.
