Prayers Please - Surgery!

My mom is going into the hospital for surgery today. there are problems with her kidneys and they have to fix that and it involves scalpels, tables and pans of some kind :(.

It's not serious surgery but she does have to stay in the hospital for a day or so.

If you guys could just pray for her and the rest of my family while we're doing this. I'd be at the hospital...but she says it's okay and that I should go to work. :(

I know how you feel, my mom just recently had liver surgery. Even though the doctors tell you its routine and everything will be fine its still hard to shake the uneasiness of the situation. I know what your going through, even minor surgery with a family member is a stressful time, because you feel like you want to be doing more for them. Hang in there, everything will be alright.

My dad called me earlier in the afternoon. She's out of surgery and she's resting. And my mom got on the phone and told me to eat something. so I KNOW she's okay!

i talked to her again about half an hour ago. she was eating salad. i can't believe she can eat hospital food. oy. but she sounded really well and knowing her, she was watching dvds on her portable dvd player while eating her hospital salad.

she's home now...and she's back working. oy. :rollseyes: she can't stop working! she's just sitting on the bed, paper everywhere, making phone calls with the house line and answering calls on her cell phone. but it's light work, mostly just catching up with clients and paperwork so it's nothing strenuous.

yep! she resumed telling me to eat something. why is it that most of my family does that to me? every single time there's a gathering of some kind it's "you should eat more.." when i eat perfectly decent meals!

though i am hungry right now...i ate a pretzel today.
