Just fishing for sympathy. I have a pretty nasty case of tonsillitis, and my throat is killing me. Plus, I haven't been able to eat much, and the antibiotic plus the ibuprofin is making me nausious. I really hope I don't puke. That would hurt soooooooooooooo much. :(

aww  it sucks you are sick. hope that you feel better soon. keep a bucket next to your computer. maybe you should rest. go lay down and listen to something calming. maybe pre-mission impossible II soundtrack Metallica. that calms me down, maybe it will for you too.

don't get pepto! haha. just in my experience...last spring break i was with a few of my friends and we apparently ate something nasty cause one of us came down with a really bad bug. he was running to the bathroom and we'd just hear this horrible wretching. and then there'd be a flush and he's stagger out but he wouldn't make it too far without turning back.
we got him pepto and it just made it worse. so if you end up hating pepto, make sure you have something to back it up with.
oddly enough, the thing that made him feel better was lemon and coke, warmed up. you might want to try that. my mother's been doing it for sore throats and stomachs for years and i thought it was nuts until spring break when we were so desperate for something, anything, to make him feel better that i, for 10 minutes every hour, turned into my mother and gave him warmed up coke and lemon.

I had something like that once and it was just awful. I hope you feel better soon. Just try to get some rest and listen to some relaxing music or watch a few dvds.

My friend had two surgery's up there, and now whenever he eats something and coughs he gets pieces of food flying form his nose. It's funny as hell when his eating a kebab or some spahgetti.

Day three of my antibiotic regimine and I finally appear to be improving. Yeay! I hate being sick. Especially when it feels like you have a golf ball lodged in your throat. And you have to cancel 4th of July plans :( Thanks for they hugs guys :)

My daughter has been sick with tonsilitis for so long. She finally got them removed due to doctors orders. Her surgery was this past tuesday. Shes been feeling great. Shes complaining that she cant eat certain foods yet and we have tried. Today was chopped up ham. She liked it but it still bothered her. :(
I hope everything works out for you. Its a pain in the neck...literally.

Glad you're feeling better... would you like to learn more about your tonsils?

Well I certainly hope you've given her lots of ice cream! :lol I've found that hot miso soup works wonders for my sore throat. Although at this point it's more of an irritation when I swallow than anything. I am so glad I live in a time when we have antibiotics and ibuprofin.
And dude, Mrelia,
people with this problem often report that they feel an irritation in the back of their throat and are able to pick these critters out of their tonsils.
:hork:
:lol I looked at my inflamed, white crap-coated tonsil once and that was enough for me. But mine was definetly an infection, not a tonsil stone. I can't imagine having stuff get stuck in there :yuck:
