G8 peace please

Can i just take a moment to say well done to anyone who protested at Faslane in Scotland this week and to anyone who is going to Edinburgh today, please behave yourselfs.The cities (Edinburgh and Glasgow) are swarming with police and they will not hesitate to arrest anyone who starts any trouble.While i apreciate your need to demonstrate and have your voice heard bear in mind that you cant do a lot of good for anyone sitting in a jail cell.And no body likes a martyr.
The newspapers have already portrayed all the protesters in Edinburgh as louts and thugs, lets not give them any more ammunition( no pun intended).
Were demonstrating for a good cause here, lets keep it good.

so bad? frell... I thought Saturday was rather peaceful. Thank you so much for letting us know about Make Poverty History and everything... without you I would have not attended, I needed someone to kick my eema. I extremely enjoyed my visit to Scotland- matter of fact I might be going back next week *keeping fingers crossed* too bad I can't be there today.

Are there any life feeds from what is going on today- I thought there was supposed to be another concert?? Anybody? I checked the program schedule from BBC one and two, that's all I get over here and there was nothing :(

Thanks you're so sweet... fastest little Scaper ever! Unfortunately it says that the coverage is not available outside the UK. Bummer. We have so many Brits in the Netherlands they should really count us in. I'll try scrape_medic's link now...

Very sad to see so much negative coverage about G8 protesters... what do those people think they are going to archieve by destroying property and fighting the police? I feel very sorry for those police officers too. Must be bad to go to work expecting trouble. They were so very nice to me, friendly and helpful. For the first time I have actually liked police- I have had some very bad experiences in the past, where they told me they basically can't help me until *after* I got hurt. There I was with a guy going berserk in my home, and they wrote his name down and left...

next time you send me a snarky pm, maybe check with the person that actually WROTE THE POST. i wasn't aware that scrape hadn't gone in to the post and fixed the links. a simple "hey, the links don't work" would have sufficed.
