Hi all you scapers!
As you all know(or should do!) I went into hospital on the 5th July for an edoscopy and laparoscopy and maybe my appendix being removed. Arrived there in the afternoon and from 3am in the morning wasn't allowed to eat or drink. Was getting very nervous and anxious by midday when they said they should be taking me down. I was wheeled down to the operating theatre, had a drip put in my hand and had drugs put into me. I remember thinking that I wasn't falling asleep and the drugs didn't work but after that all I remember waking up. I woke up to find my appendix had been removed and that I was serverly tachicardic. I had to be on a heart monitor for a while because my heart was beating too fast. I was apparently in the theatre quite awhile. Had lots of morphine and oxygen although the oxygen mask didn't really fit to well on my face. My Doctor said he found nothing wrong with the rest of my body but took the appendix out for anaylising it. He thought it would be better to get it out so I don't have problems in later life. I think it was grumbling or inflamed because they don't take it out without a reason. Today(The day after the operation 7th July) I was sent home. I thought it was early as when u have this operation you usually stay in longer but my Doctor said I was allowed to go home. I have a very sore stomach with a big bandage on it. It was quite bloody after the operation and that freaked me out a bit when I woke up but everything is looking on the positive side now. Hopefully my pain will go away now. Fingers crossed and prayers to God!
